I'm getting better in skating forward. But that's it only. I'm doing lemons, using lemons to stop. I turn around in some steps not a nice slide. Which is more important to learn now? Skating backwards? I'm getting a little.... Or turning around in a slide technique?

Thank you so much for making these videos!!! I've been going through a handful of rollerblading tutorials as I've built my skating confidence and want to start implementing skills, and your videos have explained things the most clearly for how I can approach it, and given me the most confidence to try. If I could tip your videos I definitely would. Skating has become my way to decompress on my own, or bond with my dad and my boyfriend, and we really appreciate these! Seriously, fantastic videos!!!

Great vid, was in my recommendations this morning wondering where it has been! You earned a new subscriber. Love the ore and the technique! What size wheels are you rockin on the rink there? Tough to tell 84 or 90s are my guess.

Hey, everyone. I need to apologize for not coming through with content every two weeks. I'm really sorry. I will not be making a promise like that in the future. I do plan on making more content, but not at this time. I also took down my first video because I found out I had made some rookie mistakes there as well. As a teacher and member of my community, I can tell you I will do better. Skating has taught me that no matter how good you get, falling, or, in other words, failing, is inevitable. To fix it, first admit your mistake, accept the consequences, take time to analyze your failure, then move forward with that knowledge and experience in mind, that's how you will get better. That is why continually trying matters. Thank you to all my 388 current subscribers, I really appreciate your patience with me. I will be back! ❤

I ice skate when the rinks are open here in Sweden and then switch to Marsblades during summer to keep things going. Your side surfing is very similar to mohawks only without lifting the feet, I will have to try this when the rinks close next weekend 😢

You're the first I've seen mention heel or toe transitions! Others usually keep one skate flat, but that friction makes me nervous 😅 Toes or heels looks smoother. I'll give it a shot!

What Inline skate do you recommend for indoor rinks? Dance, backward skating etc.
@jacobgoettsche2271 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question, Joseph. Honestly, that is totally a preference as to the style of skating you like to do. I recommend that if you are a beginner, use smaller wheels around the 75mm range. I used a pair of 80mm wheels for a couple of years before I purchased my black 90mm pair. I love the Maxxum xt from Rollerblade. The only small downside is that the top latch can loosen up while I skate. The bigger wheels have a tendency to hit each other as you crossover unless you use the short 3 wheel style. However, once you get used to it, you hardly notice the increase. Boot, wheels, and bearings all play a factor while you skate, as does the floor you're skating on. Sorry that it took me so long to get back to you. Hope this answers your question. :-) I know in this video I said I would be creating and posting videos every two weeks. I spoke too soon, and I want to apologize to those who are following me. I will do better. The video I mentioned is still in the works! Coming soon!! I will be skating to a never heard before song that my good friend John Ward wrote. The words are powerful, and his performance is captivating. I aim to make this next video worth the wait.

Hi! I ordered the FR FRX but I’m a beginner and I’d like to know how I can swap out the stock wheels for 76 until I get more comfortable? There are no skate shops in my city and skate rinks only seem to have wheels for quads? How do I determine quality, etc when ordering online and is it easy to swap out wheels?

@@jacobgoettsche2271 yes my wife comes to every session.we have push scooters as well we use .took them on holiday.we bought them off a Czech manufacturer high quality they glide really well.They race them in Czechoslovak too.Don’t like walking really prefer being on wheels eh😀I tried your side surf on rink.Mmm will practice in kitchen like you say it’s more. Advanced so come back to that one.I find that our local rink is definitely less grip than the outdoors by the river where I skate.It’s like a perforated plastic but still all practice eh,Practiced my one leg glide some power stops backwards crossovers too.

Hello Jack.. how to solve ankle pain issue? Especially on my left foot. Currently I'm using twister edge for about a year.. thx.. nice place to made video btw
@jacobgoettsche22712 жыл бұрын
Hard to say exactly what your issue is. Have you seen an athletic trainer or physical therapist? They could probably help you identify what is creating the pain. When I was having knee pain issues, it was because I had weak core muscles. So it could be have weak calves or quads? I hope you are able to find the root cause and fix it soon. Having pain anywhere sucks. Safe skating! :-)

Hi JAKE thanks for great video.I just managed my best backward crossover so far at local rink.they not quite right yet but with dodgy ankle it’s best can do for now.well I can do backwards crossover better than forwards.my ankles feel weak going forward.I. Can get quite but speed forwards and manage to stop ok my curling round like power stop .I’m thinking it’s my window cleaning wear tear holding me back but then again it’s kept me fit all these years😊.Just seen a 79year old guy in Southport ,uk who has been inline skating last 19years in his home town.he was even banned from his local shopping centre.His daughter said to him at 60 how can you keep fit?he said he used to ice skate when he 19.when he older another skater hit him and he broke his hip.luckily due to his inline skate fitness he didn’t need hip replacement .amazing .it all depends on what sort life you had but still amazing .don’t feel I’m goin be on skates at 80.but would try😊.
