Does this law apply to different base number systems or does base 10 have something to do with 1 occurring more frequently?

That's basically 3 different games where you picked THREE different times and the car is at a different door each game. This will go down as the biggest hoax in mathematics history. Your probability to pick a door and get the car is 1/3. That doesn't change even after Monty removes his door. That remaining door also only contains 1/3 probability for you to get the car if you decide switch to pick that door. So where is the 2/3 coming from? "2/3 of the time you DON'T pick the door with the car." That is (1-X); you can't stay or switch from a door you didn't pick. "There are TWO goats so you have TWICE the probability to pick the goat." And that is the genius of the show creator to put two of the same item behind the no-car doors. Put a dog and a goat behind those doors and it will be clearer to you. You have a 1/3 probability to pick the door with the car, a 1/3 probability to pick the door with the dog, and a 1/3 probability to pick the door with the goat. Monty cannot eliminate the door with the car or the door you picked, which means you ALWAYS have an equal probability to pick a door and get whatever is behind it. "But, the 100 door explanation gives you a clear view of where the goats are and that lone door with the car." Again, put 100 different items each behind a door; an empty box, a shoe, a pile of dog crap, it doesn't matter. Just leave one door for the car and one for the goat. Are you more likely to pick the car from 100 doors each filled with a different item or the goat from 100 doors each filled with a different item? In 1975, Paul Erdos, the "Albert Einstein of Mathematics", contested that the "2/3 always switch" was dead wrong. He only relented because the simulations he was shown were all 2/3 and switch. In 2024, there are ChatGPT, Python and other AI for you to isolate the error in those sims. "Picking" a door is not the same as "picking a door, being able to open it and get whatever is behind that door. Because the player has capability to switch, you must find the probability to pick each door, open that door and get the item behind that door after Monty eliminates his door. 1. What is the player's probability to pick Door A, open Door A to get the car? 2. What is the player's probability to pick Door B, open Door B to get the car? 3. What is the player's probability to pick Door C, open Door C to get the car? 4. What is the player's probability to pick Door A, open Door A to get the dog? 5. What is the player's probability to pick Door B, open Door B to get the dog? 6. What is the player's probability to pick Door C, open Door C to get the dog? 7. What is the player's probability to pick Door A, open Door A to get the goat? 8. What is the player's probability to pick Door B, open Door B to get the goat? 9. What is the player's probability to pick Door C, open Door C to get the goat? You'll find that when you simulate this, the player's probability to pick a door, open that door and get the car behind that door he first picked and switching to the only door remaining after Monty eliminates his door, open that door and get the car are equal. It is 1/2 when the player plays one game, and 1/3 if player plays 3 games or more. This is for you, Paul - a clear case of reductio ad absurdum where I'd take your word regarding anything to do with math over a Sunday columnist for celebrity newspaper magazine any day of the week. #SoSorryTheyDoubtedYouPaul

I used to have Elo of 1300 but when I play now it's only like 900. I don't feel like I'm playing way worse than I used to, it feels like the world got better. Elo rated bots also seem much easier than real human beings of the same rating.

Wonder if the “pulling a low number” if you are down - works for card magicians? e.g. magician sees his mark has a cold or looking miserable... the magician can then bet the guy pulls a card less than an eight. Did I understand it correctly?
