Went to Kuala Lumpur a few months ago and visited KL Eco Park which was a great place to walk around surrounded by nature and in the heart of the city.

@maddogsandenglishmentravel2 ай бұрын
@@goldplaybest it really depends what you are looking for but you are just as likely to get a good deal on new clubs in your own country than in Thaniya Plaza, Bangkok. There are some reasonable second hand deals at this golf shopping mall from time to time. You can purchase cheap clubs from Lazada Shopping App in Thailand but you can't guarantee that they will always be genuine.

Hahaha....so an Englishman "discovered" North Cape in 1553.....well...well.....and I discovered England in 1990.... Sorry....no..... There has been living people in that area for 9000 years. No one needed an Englishman to "discover" their backyard..... The correct is he named the cliff North Cape ....nothing else.... .....and no....North Cape is NOT the northernmost point on the European mainland (continent)....because it is located on an island (Magerøya). The northernmost point on the European continent is Kinnarodden outside Mehamn ....70km further east. Mehamn is a port on Hurtigruten which is 2 ports east of Honningsvåg. So you sailed around the northernmst point during the night ....probably while you were sleeping. North Cape can only be called the northernmost point accessible by road/car..... When it comes to spelling of names is the letter å not the same as a. First letter in the alphabet is a while å is the last one. The Norwegian alphabet has 3 extra letters (æ,ø,å) compared with the English equivalent. So your spelling as Batsfjord is nothing like the correct Båtsfjord.

Seems like a lot of useless, and absurd regulations. Considered retirement there, but the micromanagement left a feeling massive government overreach that doesnt stomach well. Not willing to trade basic freedom for lower prices. Fines for having a foreign visitor over without reporting it ? You can keep it. Too many other places to choose from that you dont feel like your being constantly watched...

Do you know of any places in Bangkok selling fake golf attire (shirts and hat)?
@maddogsandenglishmentravel5 ай бұрын
If you are looking for reasonably priced polo shirts, hats etc. then try the following MBK Centre, Bobae Tower, Platinum Fashion Mall, Pratunam Market or Chatuchak Weekend Market but be prepared to haggle on the price. To be honest there are so many places in Bangkok to get cheap golf attire.
@WorldRampagers6 ай бұрын
Great advice at the end there Richard. We as tourists need to refuse the unmetered taxis so that they realise we want fair prices and start to use the meters! Well said 👍🏼

Bangkok taxi drivers will continue over-charging passengers for as long as they can get away with it. Revoke their licences when caught and they'll soon get the message.

Taxis gave me stress the most while I was in Thai.(and also tuk tuks). The fees are insanely high. (Like I went for 8km and the fee was 1000 baht tf). I prefer using Bolt, bt bolt drivers sometimes scams to, so renting a car is the best option.
@maddogsandenglishmentravel7 ай бұрын
WOW 1,000THB for 8km! That is insane. Bolt is excellent in Pattaya however they haven't got enough cars in Bangkok to make it a viable option at this time. Grab is also very expensive compared to street taxis using the meter however they do offer convenience. Taxi drivers who insist on a fixed fee are ripping people off and don't give in to their greed. Insist on the meter being used or just walk away.

@@maddogsandenglishmentravel I found it pretty hard to find a legit taxi drivers in Bangkok. And sometimes I meet aggressive and disturbing drivers who would lock the car door so he could get my money or just let me leave but stalk me later by parking not so far from me and follow me everywhere I walk.
