What’s crazy is this is a band of young people who I don’t imagine spend a lot of time listening to the traditional folk music of their native Ukraine (maybe I’m wrong) but this track has a lot of Eastern European melodic sensibilities.

Dude ! This whole entire song is 4/4. The whole thing! But within the 4 they do sooooo much, that if you're trying to learn it, its sooo hard. Because sometimes they come in on the 6 insted of the 8 or sometimes its 3 insted of 2 or 0. This whole song was all 4!!!! You have to count it. They always end on 8, mostly. But here's the kicker they might end on 6 but theyll start on 8. It's weird! ...and Brilliant and defiant! Jesus. This has got to be what Vlad brings to the table. He's their drummer but he's a multi instrumentalist And he writes too! So with the rest of the band he's a big influence. I wish Opeth would do stuff like this. Challenging perceptions. Hell I wish Amimals as Leaders would do stuff like this, even though they're already challenging! And they have no vocalist. But stilln This is just super awesome!

I love this new song by Jinjer, always love Jinjer! I love the portrayals of Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Marie Curie and (I think) Georgia O'Keefe, although since we know Tatiana loves Frida Kahlo (as do I) because of that tattoo on her arm, I will always think of that character in this video as Georgia O'Keefe on the outside and Frida Kahlo on the inside.
