But how do you get to your pockets, if the other fabric pieces cover them?
@CrystalPegasusCostumesАй бұрын
@ninewectawski1935 with 18th century style petticoats, they are made up of a front and back which tie separately and are open at the sides, so you can access the pockets! This is shown more clearly in videos I made a couple of years ago for my Arcadian Shepherdess series. In the Petticoat video at about 11 minutes , you can see me reaching into the pockets. 😊

Very pretty… but how are you not flashing anyone staring up at the stage in that first version?! That is the real magic trick I would like to master.
@CrystalPegasusCostumesАй бұрын
Well, I wore this costume for part of a burlesque show, so I was pretty much the most covered person on stage! More broadly, there's not really getting away from the bouncy nature of the first skirt, so I just ensure I am comfortable in what I wear underneath :)

Thank you ***so much*** for the tip about using masking tape for corset mockups. I used that method in my own most recent corset. It made mock-up alterations so much easier and faster, and I got an excellent fit in the final corset. I also really appreciated seeing your iterations and thought process through your different mock-ups. Thank you for this video!

@@matchateacup5501 thank you! I'm afraid I don't yet have a video on this style of chemise (I hope to get there one day!) For now, I suggest you search for "smocked bishop" - most things that come up will be for children's clothing and I had to play around with proportions.
