Thank you! Ahhh, there you have asked an excellent question. To be able to pattern match, I always need more fabric than if I was just cutting out of plain fabric. I generally find I use twice as much, but it depends on the exact pattern and how I want it to come out. In this case, I didn't mind having plenty, as I also want to use the fabric in a Bilbo Baggins dressing gown.
