Hey Jack and April, What is the name of the trim you used for the front of your caravan, and where did you get it? I am having trouble finding trim like that to bend around a curve.

Gday guys, did you build this in SA? If so did you get your panels locally? Thanks very much

To show the too many hazards while working... No gloves. No safety glasses. No proper equipment when brining the glasses.

Hi April and Jack, have really enjoyed your project and learnt a lot - I'm planning to do similar. Have a couple of clarifying Qs if I may? The Royal Flair van, original, did it come with the independent suspension or your addition. After the floor why did you build from inside (cupboards etc.) out rather than walls up then outside in? Convert brakes to electric over hydraulic, when then add discs rather than stay with easier option of exist drums? Well done, I admire your guts, determination and aptitude; your living life to the max, goodonya! Barry.

Probably a bit late now but i would have painted the timbers near the out walls with west system Apoxy like they do in boats makes the timber 100 percent water proof and wont rot if u ever get a leak ,and it makes the timber tuff as steel , because timber no matter how good the out side is water and moisture will always find its way in and rot will start again 😢

I would have bought a brand new chassis and started from there

the 240v electrical is non compliant, i would get an electrician to redo some parts of that.

Have you guys run into any issues with the door opening the way it does? I think you guys bought a right hand side door and put it on the left. The hinges should be at the front of the camper for safety and helps prevent water coming in.

For anyone who wants to know, if you can make your own chassis or get a trailer mob to make it, a $75k + caravan can be home made for $30k using the same panels here, $30-35k will get you a nice 16-18 foot caravan

Hey also one more question.. is that a family/friend's shed they'd let you use while staying as you worked on it or is there a shed rental that allows it? Again.. would really help me out here.

I was thinking the same thing!!! We definitely need a space like that for our build, I’ve been trying to watch all the videos but I didn’t find the answer yet

I’ve just found all your videos and have watched one out of order. Will be bingeing on the rest over Easter. Don’t suppose you can add episode numbers to the titles so someone like me can tell which order they should be watched in? Would be really helpful. Your van looks amazing. Any chance of a travel update video too? Thx.
