I like how Rhyme tried to make an unbeatable mission when the mode has to make you capable of winning

The community definitely doesn't know how to use the mode cuz it takes too much time to make something cool. It needs major adjustments, like a keyword search, more cutscenes, the effects don't trigger when you'd think, some effects don't trigger at all after certain conditions, but you can do some really interesting stuff if you take the time to try & understand it. A lot of good/creative battles get buried under meme battles, 9x full heal raid bosses or the degen stuff so the mode seems bare bones. The mode definitely needs to be streamlined & hopefully then people will have an easier time making cool customs. Maybe someone can vet custom battle submissions for y'all so you aren't spoiled. Yall could set up an email or social media account we can submit too?

I think a big part of the issue here is the player base for this game leans very young so a huge chunk of the custom battles are from kids making random weird shit and other kids playing and liking it so the stuff people put actual effort into gets buried.

It would better if they had actual have voice dialogue instead of reading all the text makes it slight boring

I'd give this game like 1 year before it actually becomes the hot sensation that everyone was wanting it to be for the long haul. If this game can last until next Christmas with tons of new updates and balance changes, I feel this will definitely make the game skyrocket. Otherwise you could always go back to BT4 on Z Difficulty for more raid/video ideas. The game's not bad, just....not as super overhyped uber awesome like people wanted it to be lmfaoo.

I know it’s for clicks, but to call this game (Unplayable) in kinda insane to me. Titles and videos that perpetuate stuff like this does bring attention to the game, but to only talk about the negative hurts more. I blame the community for messing this game up as much or even more than the devs.

I'm so glad I decided to wait a month to buy this game. I didn't want to waste the money if it wasn't going to be good and now I know. With how the tenchaichi base games where I had a feeling this was going to kick rocks at the start of it's lifespan. Fighterz will remain the best game they've ever made imo

I played a lot of fun matches where people have re-created scenes from the original Dragon Ball super or the movies. I think there is a lack of creativity in the community but also I think there is a lack of eyes on the good stuff - like what if Vegeta was on earth and attacked by the saiyans?

Making Custom Battles in a Nutshell: Spend hours creating cutscenes with dialogue Spend hours testing and balancing to make sure all triggers work Post Get zero plays Play top maps where none of their triggers work, dialogue doesn't make any sense and gameplay is boring (too easy or too much healing) Tip for all the "Top" level makers. If you are making a level with any kind of Health trigger, remember to add the capsule which stops a character from going below 1 HP, this means that the player cannot blitz your NPC and break your maps triggers. Once triggered then remove the Capsule. No more broken triggers that dont fire

Rhyme I have a level I’ve been working on for 3 weeks. It’s almost ready, this is not a troll. I love this mode and I’m always trying to make challenging and serious episodes. I make sure that the quotes and lines are like what the characters would actually say so it’s immersing. I genuinely think you’ll like it and I really want you to try it before quitting on this mode completely I’ve noticed too that no one takes this mode seriously. Please lmk if you wanna try it, maybe I can make actually interesting 3 idiots ones too. Even anyone else if you wanna try my episodes lmk for the code

Custom battles was what i was looking forward to the most when waiting for this game. I made one where future trunks finds a way to send a distress signal to Goku and Vegeta and they go to the past and find out its Baby, but he already infected trunks and the others. I had multiple loss screens, wanted to add clashes, etc... couldn't do most of what i wanted because they half assed the mode. It took me 2 weeks (because i work and stuff) and i actually ended up a bit disappointed because i felt limited in what i could do based off of how the system works and they just did not make finding names and dialogue easy. It still turned out okay, but definitely not what i envisioned.

Rhyme you're killin' me man. Some of these custom battle flubs you're calling out are straight up, just, your fault. The Beerus vs SSJ4 battle ended because you used your ult and the cutscene implies that just kills the super saiyan 4s. if you beat them normally, you get a different end screen. The biggest problem with the mode is how bad the search function (both for dialogues AND for battles themselves). I've made and played some fire custom battles with branching endings but people just wont see them in the deluge of missions posted and its very hard to see if a new battle comes out since you can't link them into a saga afaik.

It's so annoying trying to find dialouge, why didn't they just add a search text field so you can search what you want the character to say or just simply let the creator input the text themselves, it's just a string, you should be able to write whatever you want. But instead we have this, where you have to spend hours looking through dialouge to find what we want to be said. Hope they add this in the future

So some suggestions for anyone bored enough to read. 1. Idk the depth of buffing the characters in the creative mode, but buff what’s strong about the characters, like videl charging twice as fast? Insane, call it mystic/ultimate videl or some shit. 2. No one out there can make this happen, but I want a damn random matchup online. Random characters for both sides, evens out through the bp system. Fuck ranked. 3. The maps never bug out for me, I never get stuck or anything like that. Is that a real problem for anyone besides rhyme? Not throwing shade, genuinely curious lol.

I think the mode definitely had potential. I myself tried making a series of cinematic episodes involving Bardock avenging the Saiyans but it took HOURS just to write the dialogue! Having to scroll thousands of sentences hoping to get close to what I want characters to say, only to then be limited with what keywords I can choose and have to scroll for a replacement made me not even finish. Plus like you said some of the events you script to happen just don't activate. Game most definitely needed at least another year in the oven, maybe even 2.

I agree, I solely got this game to hopefully play survival by myself or with friends. Or to even do custom battles with friends. But NO sadly this game is not what I expected

You can increase CPU difficulty from the default which is 10 I believe to Super difficultly (20) it’s not too crazy but they won’t be completely brain dead at least.

the only problem with the game is the Netcode doesn't go that well with super counters and vanishes, but netcode is a problem with every multiplayer

I worked for hours on a future Gohan story where Trunks chose to use the time machine to try and help Gohan instead of warning the Z fighters in the past and it got 5 likes (I also made a sequel with Cell) only to see about 3k people plain abusing children with no story whatsoever 🫠

I’ve always thought that two of the most annoying things about the Dragon Ball fandom is how unbelievably unfunny and detrimentally horny it can get. So many SZ custom battles are either the same jokes from a month ago or some brainless gooner garbage, and that’s 100% the community’s fault. (Maybe like 75% actually, official DB media doing stuff like giving Bulma a canonical dumptruck doesn’t help with the horny problem LMFAO)

BT2/BT3 are basically just updates, especially since they all came out 1 year apart from each other. I have confidence SZ can become EVEN BETTER than it already is
