wow. thats so outdated and wrong info im flabbergasted. if i only hear 10 before 2 i lose it x) why not just at 9 and 3 oclock - maybe because of the higher freedom of movement and maybe because of an airbag potentially throwing your own hands knuckle first in your own face? and no - feeding the wheel doesnt give you a better sens and feeling for how much you have to steer. most professional drivers dont like the feeling of disconnection when doing that and stay at 3 and 9 until they have to regrip after a 180 for many good reasons - for example the ability to always reliably return the wheel to center in one fluid motion.^^ also in general you shouldnt pull at the wheel but push... pulling the wheel usually doesnt provide with the same amount of fine control and pulls your upper body away from the seat, disconnecting you even further from the car... im confused - what is this content? have you actually ever practiced and competed in motorsports? like - where does your knowledge come from? btw im ex paramedic and participated many years in german autocross champs, slalom and rallye sprints for sponsors.

Could we potentially do this on a test?
@navigatordrivingАй бұрын
@jinny.96 do you mean get it wrong and fix on test? I always say that you have one attempt to fix any of the reverse manoeuvers. Any more than that and you are potentially holding up other drivers. At that point, the examiners have to ask themselves, DO you have control?
@jinny.96Ай бұрын
Box junction question if it's red and the exit is clear can we pass?
@navigatordrivingАй бұрын
@jinny.96 when the signals are green, you can enter a box junction if you are first inline and your exit is clear. If the light then changes to red, you must proceed when it's safe. You can not stay in the box as you will be blocking traffic from your left/and or/ right.

It's pretty horrendous that what is supposed to be a test route, i.e 'tested on conditions', . that future candidates can learn a particular sequence in advance. It's then no longer a test but a route and conditions memory thing. It's like having the answers to exam questions before you get to them.
@navigatordrivingАй бұрын
As noted in the description, an examiner can change a route at any given point if they need to. So the video only shows what a route could be
@TDCF355Ай бұрын
Nevertheless, even the idea of showing a route, or likely route should not be happening. It also places the wrong thoughts in the mind of any possible candidate. A bit like having a crib card.

I wouldn't recommend if you are going to be holding it for a long time. It's only to prepare yourself to go. If there's a constant flow of traffic and you can't go, use footbrake or your handbrake

Depending on your speed, that may cause an issue as you have no engine braking
@Sotarge4 ай бұрын
Yeah don’t do that bro, go down the gears so your engine brakes with you as well. Car slows down faster if it’s in gear, so downshift until around 2nd or 3rd and then clutch in to come to a complete stop.
