How to steer a car by feeding the wheel.

A common question from students when learning to drive is, DO I have to feed the steering wheel and why?
Feeding the steering wheel gives you more control of your steering, whereas crossing your hands or palming the wheel is more erratic.
When on your driving test, holding the wheel in the correct position and feeding the wheel, shows you have better control of your vehicle. it also allows you to have more control at lower speeds.
