When children in High School feel excluded and the "magic of creative freedom" is given a grade then their confidence decreases - this is what I am hearing from young voices who need some music in their day at school and haven't learnt how to connect and appreciate with well-being/life and loved approach to being human (holistic). Kids are being de-formed with being told their quality of life has tick boxes. This is my Australian perspective. I like the job of a teacher is to "illuminate" and walk away! Yes harm and violence in grading does destroy young smiles and youthful exploration of life and in-their-rhythm and feelings. Thanks

No sir you must have perfect pitch in your head, and be able to execute with song! I've been playing by ear, since a little boy. I'm a grown man now 👌 there is no figuring it out, groove is in the heart ❤

This book is really excellent, great info, useful links, and everything you need to create the right mindset to practice and enjoying music. When you see how great musicians really do it, you get all the inspiration you need, and that is what Jon Harnum achieved with this book.

Hey Christopher, this book looks amazing. I’d like to purchase but I’m not sure what currency the book is in. Is the $49.95 in USD or AUD? I’m in Australia

Hi Gavin, so sorry you haven't heard back from support, that's odd. If your emails aren't reaching them, could you please drop me an email ([email protected]) to share the name and email you placed the order under, and we'll get it looked into right away for you.

ordered the physical copy one week ago... and already going crazy! And it's all YOUR fault! The first digital chapters were amazing and I really can't wait to read them all! (yeah, I know there is the possibility to buy the full digital copy, but I'm a serial book collector...!) Fully convinced this will be a great journey! Hugs to all of you from Italy! (and please, make some kind of magic to fasten up the delivery or whatever you want, but I need more! XD )

I just had my first MU drop in call and Andy provided some incredibly useful suggestions to help get through my chord progressions block. So it was lovely to hear more of his facinating background and why he was so helpful! BTW I like both kinds of music, country and western!

Really enjoy Musical U and the work you guys produce. That said, I’m not going to invest $50 in a book without knowing more about what’s in it. While it appears that this is what this video covers, I’m nearly seven minutes in and you’re still doing an intro to the process of writing the book. I don’t have 31 minutes to dedicate to this. Since it appears you’re just going to read this preface to the table of contents, please just post this document to your web site and to Instagram and wherever else you are promoting the book so I can just READ IT MYSELF. I’m inclined to purchase this and can make a decision in just a couple of minutes with this information, but again, I’m not going to wait a half-hour listening to you read it to me. If I have questions, I can get back to you. Otherwise, no sale at this price point. Just my two cents….

I am new to the channel, so I didn't know anything about the book until now, thank you for sharing the info and the background. I visited the book website and to my surprise there is overview of the book, but not single sample/excerpt how the book actually look inside. Or did I miss something? If not -- it would be really useful, especially for ebook format.
@MusicalU2 ай бұрын
That's a really helpful observation, thank you! We'll be making some updates to the page and can definitely include a "look inside" section. Our previous "Inside the Book" episodes (which are on that page or on our channel here) share extended excerpts, if you're wondering about the style and substance of the material inside, though that doesn't reflect the layout and typography etc. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the update. I sent an inquiry about it earlier today. The digital chapters are okay, but I would really like to have a hardbound text to study. Looking forward to the book and sharing your and you team's efforts.

Thanks for the explanation Christopher! I personally am not in a rush for the book but it will be great when it gets here. I bought the audio and I am really enjoying listening to the book along with the live Musicality Bootcamp. You are doing an excellent job reading the book out loud! I like the way the book is a take on Living Music with added information. (I still rave about the LM Program. It was an exceptional experience for me and came at the just the right time in my life plus I have made many special friends from that program.) The book has greatly motivated me in my piano practices along with the rest of my music training. Thank You for this video along with everything you and the Team do to guide us along our musical journeys. Sincerely, @MaryGrace M

Really enjoying the digital edition (pdf file) - as a very good, in depth summary of many of the expanded educational courses at Musical-U. I have printed several pages from the various chapters and notated specific courses and/or lessons within the MU online courses for additional review. Continuing the encoding/retrieval process, thanks again!

Hi, I asked by email a question but got no answer (I bought the printed edition, still waiting for it to arrive in Switzerland...): you created a kindle version of the ebook, is there any chance that an epub version will be also available (I have a kobo reader so I can't read kindle ebooks, and pdfs on ereaders are a no-go)?

Hi Chris, yes, the book is now out! We've had some delays shipping the physical copies, but the full digital edition is available, along with the first several chapters of the audiobook, with more coming each week. We just posted an update video here with more details: kzbin.info/www/bejne/epO8aZWojryXfrM

So… how do I audiate in the first place? I ‘hear’ nothing in my mind. How do I go from hearing nothing to hearing something?
@MusicalU2 ай бұрын
Good question! Do you ever get a song stuck in your head? Or right now, can you imagine how "Happy Birthday", "Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star", or the theme from your favourite TV show goes? If so, that's a form of audiation! Another route in to "finding" your audiation would be to imagine yourself saying a sentence (like "the weather is nice today"), then have that speaking voice in your mind start to sing a little melody or jingle. It may be feint and fuzzy at first, but that's the starting point for developing a vivid and powerful ability to audiate. Does that help?
@anxylum2 ай бұрын
@@MusicalU I can imagine words, but there is no sound, no volume or pitch. If I try to make a certain pitch in my mind, I do not hear anything, I only feel my vocal cords moving to where I think they should be moving to if I was actually singing the pitch.

@@MusicalU When I get a song stuck in my mind, I do not hear it, I just have this odd compulsion to sing it over and over.
