I would really like to do this. There is no sharpening business within 30 miles of where I live. I asked several people in my family what they thought about me doing this. Most said that people would either buy a new knife or they would sharpen their own. I am retired but work a full time pizza delivery driver position. Really want to be doing something else. What do you think?

Sweet. I was just sketching up similar idea. Then i found this video. Great work! Ill be ordering one. You saved me a ton of time. I was practicing on a dollar general knife. I couldn't keep it parallel. although it looks to me that the magnet is too far away from the belt to hold the knife at all.

Do I buy EVERYTHING here first for an entire shop set up and THEN practice or do I gradually buy more stuff throughout?

It’s like tying your shoes, once you know how, you know how 🙌 There’s also not one way to do the sharpening hence the different tools out there (whetstone/flathone) You should see the prices the sharpeners I see selling them for and the shops locally 😳 way less than $1200 but you’re completely right, they can be costly and definitely expensive for the business if they are damaged. It’s also part of growing is learning, trying, failing and doing better. You can do it!

If not, when can we expect the Elite Riser V3.0 Mk. 2??!!!
