Not to mention how they are treating this like an open group call with the whole chain of command arguing about secret warcrimes. I'm not a super spy and I didn't graduate top of my class in the navy seals but I'm pretty sure that's not how communications for clandestine operations is handled above or below board. I mean... lets hope not right? I was thinking maybe your playing as the guy responsible for relaying intel to the chain of command but in the call Graves seems to address everyone, after the explosion he's openly calling out to all of them to respond and even listing their names. At the same time when Shadow 3-1 gets out of the vehicle at the roadblock he visibly reaches to his radio to call in ask ask what to do but you hear it spoken from his standing position and specifically not through the radio channel you hear Shepard and graves else communicating through. In-fact none of the soldiers on the ground appear to be hearing each-other through their comms... The longer I look at this the more I have no idea how this logistics situation was meant to function but either way... they all appear to have radios that allow them to communicate with Graves and Shepard... Dipaolo was in a vehicle with 3 other guys who suddenly had no use for their radios and probably could have gotten that message out while on the run if he had turned around. Its an action movie scene through and through where the key imagery and gameplay was planned first and the logic second.

It's both sad and dumb when you have the logical chance to save a side character but the game forces them to die for plot reasons.
