I guess Ghilled Up because Recon by Fire was hard because you need a great long sniper ranges skill… and when you are hiding in the grass when enemy soldiers are passing by they walk into you and they found you…

Both missions are great but All Ghilled Up is my favorite of the two. It never gets old. Atlease the new stealth mission on MW 2022 made a reference to Mac millian.

Recon by Fire: Starts disconnected from the player, no setup, no music bit, no atmosphere. All Ghilied Up: Immediately starts in first-person with chilling music that transports you to a dead world, it feels nostalgic, signalling the player that he is relieving Price's memories from his eyes. COD4 IW devs had a vision, they always wanted you to feel just like another soldier but in a movie like Saving Private Ryan for COD1. All Ghilied Up is remembered primarily because of its atmosphere, it felt cinematic without becoming automatic and boring because IW knew how to keep you engaged.

All Ghillied Up is one of the best missions in the franchise. Recon by Fire is one of if not my least favorite mission in the franchise in my second least favorite game only second to MWIII reboot

I guess you're a little biased. That said, All Ghillied Up is CoD4's most iconic level (you get blown up by a nuke in this game), that introduction is priceless and the way MacMillan reacts to the way you play "off script" is very cool. Recon by Fire was one of the few levels I disliked in the new MWII, I ended up spending most of the level in roofs shooting down at the guys in those buildings; after a messed up the stealph part of the level tho

Ghillied up is better imo no, not because of nostalgic 1. Ghillied up reques you to follow MacMillans orders by almost any means. Giving the vibe that you are being tactical and executing plans flawlessly. and IF you neglect those orders, it comes with a risk that results insta-death. 2. Ghillied up also teach you that not all time you are allowed to engage the enemies. sometimes you need to let them live and sneak past them to avoid detection. Not moving is also one way to avoid detection even in close encounters 3. you need to open your eyes wide to actually find the enemies while Recon by fire are 1. easier for new comers, especially they are given thermals to engage 2. gives you the freedom on how you want to execute the mission for me it's just lack of interaction between player and NPC

My dude tou contredit yourself as a player you want more freedom cod campaigns were way to linear before if you were seen you had no chance to survive at least in this one if you are seen you dont lose instantly and gives you more choices I love the og games but lets be honest they dont have replayability other than the ones like B02 , waw cold war where you have choices to make( in waw you have choices that Will change how chernov sees you) I love the og mw trilogy but they were way to linear

Also how is it easier than old cods? In all ghilied up you litteraly just have to do what he says even in vétéran this mission is easier than the other ones up until when you have to carry mcmillan so 80% of the mission is easy just hide, follow him and thats it

All Ghillied Up is a masterpiece, i was amazed by it when i was a kid. But Recon By Fire is also very good. Using a sniper from afar, calculating the fall of the shots... I found satisfaction in each successful shot. (The game is Mid besides this mission) The last GOOD CoD released was MW2019, then the timeline and story went to hell. The MW+BO universe doesn't make any sense. Anyway, this is just my opinion.

1:03 It is fairly realistic because of the sound of your rifle. And definitely leagues more realistic than All Ghillied UP, where enemies are clueless to you dropping their mates right next to them. 1:14 Well, yes, because he's the more experienced sniper and knows where and when is it safe to shoot. Price really isn't limiting your shooting windows as much as he's describing the situation and informing you of the correct times to shoot (when an enemy breaks off from the group). 1:28 Yes, because the enemies are clueless and the dogs are there purely for decoration. 3:29 If you could do more stealth kills on your own, this wouldn't be a sniper mission. It already is one of the best stealth missions. 5:11 MacMillan is doing the same thing here: describing the situation and informing you or the correct times to move. Very unfair comparison to Recon By Fire here.

You don't even need to watch this video. All ghillied up is a masterpiece. Like the og series. The reboot series is bullshit. The story sucks. The gun animation is badly fast. The characters' models are too bad.
