@RoadRunnaJАй бұрын
@@slimm-xh9jd Good Luck ! Appreciate you tuning into my experience.So I was skeptical /nervous about the winter time truck driving too . Maverick is my 1st truck driving job over the road. It wasn’t bad cause I was on a dedicated account where I ran nothing but coils out of one place. For example I’d go and always pick up in Blytheville AR and deliver to Kansas, Chicago, Oklahoma,Alabama etc. chose dedicated cause I had a baby on the way. But during this time it got very cold which wasn’t a problem cause I’m from Chicago area but live in Memphis. Like I said I always picked up in Arkansas, Snow lasted 2-3 weeks and they sent me to Chicago when snowing began. It was slushy there then they sent me to Oklahoma, Mississippi, Bama, and Arkansas but I mainly did Oklahoma and Arkansas when roads were bad and I can tell you Arkansas was trying to clean highways. MS and OK did not, tarps were froze a couple times. I had to stomp on it to break the ice off, chains and other equipment wasn’t froze just VERY COLD. Get in truck under heat while securing loads it helps lol. Bring jackets, thermals,sweatpants, gloves and a coat. Medicine like cough drops in case you get sick.
