Hi, for round labels you simply set up a square label with the same height and width as your circle and position your circular artwork in the centre. The printer and software doesn't care that the label is round. Some software allows you to change the shape of the canvas, but it's purely cosmetic, it doesn't change anything about the way the printer works.

Hi Steve, there is no difference in setting these up to a normal rectangular label as shown in video 2 of this series, the printer doesn't know, or care that there is a circle within an outer square frame it only sees the square.

@@derrickmorrison5832 Ahh, I only support UK & Ireland I'm afraid, but you can access the web interface by typing in the IP address of the printer into a browser. The username and password are usually both "epson", though sometimes the password is the s/n of the device.

Just buy the standard printer, the quality of the black will be fine. The MK version is really only for specialised applications on matte media where a very dense black is essential.

No, this is not possible, you either choose matte, or standard inks at the outset and then you stick with them for the life of the printer.

The C7500 series was released some years prior to the C6000 series so does not support this feature natively within the Windows driver. However, there is a specific version of the C7500 driver that DOES allow colour matching except the process is a little less simple and requires you to manipulate certain files. You should contact your regional Epson representative for more information.

Thanks for the reply. It is very important that a novice user understands the process, hence changing settings a little at a time. Once you understand why you are making these changes, then sure, you will get used to just making the adjustments right at the start and saving a lot of time. Regarding the aspect ratio, this artwork was not designed for this size of label, so it would never have fitted fully bled had I not changed the aspect. The video was about fully bleeding the design using the commonly used label software, not about editing artwork. Most users would not have the ability to use advanced graphics software to edit the artwork in this way so it's not really relevant to this session.

@@greyknightsrealm8251 Hi! About this comment, isn't it a problem to print the backing paper? I mean that kind of plasticous paper the ink doen't dry on it. Doing the way you do it on the video, if the label has rounded corners, there is always a little part of ink that will be printed on the backing paper, is it safe for the printing head or injectors? Hi, you must completely remove the paper from the printer and close all covers before trying again. That error usually means you have done something in the wrong order.

Hi, it is not possible to bleed right to the edge on continuous media UNLESS you make sure there is a 2mm backing paper margin (known in the industry as selvedge) down either side. The printer will force a non-printed margin at the edges you see. This is to prevent ink being deposited inside the printer rather than on the paper. So long as you have media with a 2mm selvedge then yes, you can do what you suggest, though you may have to experiment with media and cutter offset values to get it just right.

@@greyknightsrealm8251 I have the same issue. Continuous media with 2mm of backing paper on each side. When I want to print a label 75mmx50mm, I get a label 77mmx50mm and this 2mm extra is just a white edge on top. Any ideas how do I have to set up the printer that it would print the labes without those 2mm?

@@tmajcenic I am trying to understand where the 2mm of white space appears? Is it at the sides where the 2mm backing paper is, or do you mean it leaves 2mm white space across the width of the roll where it cuts the label?

​@@greyknightsrealm8251 We do have a 2mm selvedge on our continuous roll (down the 2 sides ONLY). We can match the edges on these sides. However, it is at the top and bottom of the label we cannot bleed. Our labels are coloured green and yellow to all 4 edges. Am I right in thinking there has to be a white space of 2mm for the printer to adjust for the next label? Therefore it is not at all possible for us to use the continuous rolls?

@@mandystools2792 No, it's definitely possible. I think you may need to play with a particular setting. On the printer's LCD display, go to: Menu | Media Setting | Print Position Adjustment | Paper Top Position Adjustment. Try setting the value to something like -1.5mm, or if this doesn't work experiment with the values. You also need to make sure the label gap size is set to 0.0 in your label setup in the driver.

Hi, this could be a number of things. Firstly make sure you have the latest firmware installed, you can get this from Https://www.epson-biz.com. The newest firmware allows you to force load the paper by holding the feed button down when you insert the paper. Some paper, especially transparent labels can be temperamental.

@@greyknightsrealm8251 how to i manually do this? the printer is standalone atm we were tryin to set up and do test print via the machine without a device. so that mean i need to connect to a pc and try to update via that or can this be upgraded via a flash drive?

@@Madzci Firmware can only be updated via a Windows PC or Mac OS. I'm not sure why you would be trying to run the printer standalone? It is a Windows / Mac OS device. Please try pressing the feed button to load media anyway, if your printer is new then the firmware should be up to date enough.

@@greyknightsrealm8251 we are setting up the printer to be networked so. For the 1st machine i was setting up like the video just to get it up and running dona test print from the machine itself make sure it can then proceed to network it. And if need be use a additional desktop if they decide it needs to be a usb printer

Hi, these printers have Mac OS drivers so no issues there, you can just print direct from a PDF if you wish, or from whatever software you have created your label design in.

Hi, this error means "Paper Width Shutter Opening and Closing Error". It was not possible to detect a change in the output of the Paper Width sensor in the Paper Width shutter opening and closing operation. Suspected cause: - The carriage lower plate is contaminated - Paper width sensor failure - Paper width sensor cable fault - Print head cabling fault - Paper width shutter failure - Solenoid unit failure I think that you will need to call Epson support on 0871 423 7766.

Sorry I didn't see this until now! Have you made sure you are using the latest firmware for the printer? You can reset to defaults via the printer's front panel. General Settings, System Administration.
