I have a problem when packaging a game. I get this error: LoadErrors: Failed to load /Game/Widgets/W_Ingame.W_Ingame_C Referenced by CharacterMesh0 LoadErrors: Failed to load /NarrativeCommonUI/Widgets/WBP_QuantitySelector.WBP_QuantitySelector_C Referenced by CharacterMesh0 I found nothing referencing my character mesh so I think the error comes from plugins. Plus, error isn't there if Common UI is disabled in the plugins menu. It started doing this, right after I install Narrative Plugin and Common UI. Any fix per chance? I'm stuck.

This feels like the perfect all around tool for creating any of the RPGs i have planned but the price is too rich for my blood atm. maybe once I can get some funding or a sale happens; extra epic if its one of those free monthly as I've been told devs still get them. But for now, I guess I will be making my own. shame I can't use now and pay once a game has made some money lol

Yes - although in the short term you will need to build the plugin yourself, however we expect a Mac release to be officially available in next month.

If anyone is not getting a character spawn at 3:30, simply go to "World Settings" and set the game mode to "BP_NarrativeGameMode" and you should get a character. This will be fixed in the next version.

Yeah I'll just stay with acf. Which seems a much better system when it comes to combat etc. For Quests and ui they have a Plugin as well. For half the price.. All these these pre-made ui art you will need to replace anyway. What a crazy price point. Bleh

I've personally enjoyed the Narrative products and think they are expandable and easy to pick up. $1,300 is really a lot when theres products on the marketplace like easy survival rpg which is $400 and includes everything in this and building, fishing, farming, etc.

Just a little question, it's all highly customizable, right? For example, how the dialogues look, all the UI and so on. And the second question, there are a lot of modules, what if I don't need all of them, for example, I want my own save system, my own inventory, or NPCs, it's all can be disabled, right?

The UI customization is key here. Also does this framework have loading screens, endgame screens and initial menus? Also, does it have procedural animations support? In-game mounts integration? Is it modular?(for instance I don’t need skill trees in my game, can I remove them without breaking anything?). It is a little bit pricey, considering ACF does the same and it’s 1/4 of the price, so I don’t know what’s the target here. I think I’m going to wait for a discount.

@@mootion Speaking as someone who has worked with ACF for years I can tell you this new plugin is leaps and bounds better in every way for what it offers. Sure, ACF is 1/4 of the price, but if you could read C++ you would see that it is terribly optimized on that end. Additionally, ACF is horridly lacking in documentation, support, and the developer is far more arrogant than he lets on. Seeing both plugins I can say with 100% certainty the only reason anyone will go with ACF is because it's cheaper and they don't understand or know the flaws ACF still has.

The style is extremely customizable - we've built all the UI on CommonUI which means you just need to change a few style assets and the whole UI will update. Of course if you need more complex modification the UI are just simple Widget Blueprints like any other you will have used! Expect a full video on UI customization in the near future.

Is there an easy way to override or modify the collision trace method? I need to do a sphere trace so the player can interact with nearby objects, regardless of camera direction. Do I have access to the necessary functions to script this in Blueprints, or would I need to edit the plugin C++?

If you subclass UInteractionComponent I believe you’ll find a get trace transform method you can override. Theres also an interaction trace width option if you need sphere tracing!
