This is a NICE layout! Feel like everyone who doesn't want to model a million trees and excessive foliage opts for a southwestern layout, but this showcases a wonderful alternative. Great layout, great video - thanks for sharing!

Tolga, great video of Cal's FEC Key West Extension layout. I really enjoyed operating on it when I was in Miami and learned a lot about prototype operations. Cal's layout inspired me to host operating session on my old CSX layout. The scenery on Cal's layout is top notch and it really gives you a feeling of what the line was like prior to the Labor Day hurricane.

Very impressive and attractive ac4400 model from Scaletrains, CSX owns a large fleet of these ac4400 models and this locomotive model is spectacular and this is arguably the best ac4400cw model available in ho scale outside of any brass type models.

I strongly agree. All detail parts are very robustly mounted too which is a huge factor for an otherwise delicate model.

Nice to see the new modules on the ECHOES layout and that the club is still using my old modules. You actually have at least two FRA violations, the two haz mat tank cars behind the locomotive, and the broken and bent stirrup steps on the LSIX 140 tank car causing the coupler to be out of spec. Thanks for the video and bringing back memories of the ECHOES club.

FRA rule. if it is a local you must have one or two non hazmat behind the locomotives. road train you must have at 5 to 6 non hazmat cars behind the trailing unit and for mid dpu you must have it between non hazmat cars.

@@foreverconrail local or road is 5 buffers but again on the both if you dont have 5 buffers it isnt just one or two you take as many buffer cars available notice on unit key trains like ethanol and crude oil trains sometimes only one buffer not 5

Very impressive and handsome NS dash 9 locomotive models, I really like the Norfolk Southern paint scheme even though it is plain simple black & white it is interesting and unique among the other major US class one railroads of North America. Norfolk Southern owns more than 1000 of these dash 9 locomotives as these are very common throughout the NS system and a must have for any NS modeler and Scaletrains has produced an excellent model of the GE dash 9 locomotive.
