This is Russian sling,not Yugo one. And you did not clean gas regulating valve,it must be cleaned if you shoot corrosive ammo,or it want cycle annymore. Rest is ok

The stuff that's on there from the factory. . It's not going to hurt anything if you don't get at it saying you don't shoot it for a while. Basically you don't want water on it to rust It won't rust with any kind of oil Even left on it

Yea for some reason the price has skyrocketed recently. I'm assuming maybe it's out of print now so it's more difficult to find. It was substantially cheaper than that when I got it.

I have that gun, with an absurdly heavy 8" full underlug barrel, and a 6" barrel with short underlug. I can't remember the details any more, but I talked somebody at the factory into milling off the underlug on the 6" shroud (they only had full underlug available). He didn't even charge me for it, IIRC. The gun is much more reasonable without the full underlug. Don't worry, it is still plenty heavy, enough to tame that .44 mag cartridge.

Wish they still made them this quality. They don’t bother to sew the individual knuckles anymore so now it’s a large pouch that rocks it all over the place so it won’t protect your hand

Excellent and helpful video. I recently picked up the same Russian-made sling on Amazon. Easy enough to remove the extra clip and install it the way you did. A lot less jangling around I’d think. 👍🏻
