Hey man I just came from the Astro van speaker upgrade I was just wondering if you used the same speakers for the front and rear??

Great video 🔥 doing this right now lol 5 years later, and what you said matches up perfect with my sound test before I order. I’ve noticed that the front doors are frayeddd crunchy bass coming out where as my back 4x6s sound great and the bottom woofers are all bass but not to bad. I played around with the fader and got more sound in the back until the speakers come but this was perfect to see what’s actually in the van so I don’t have to take it all apart

I'd like to tap in / switch FM vs having to do tape or CD. Hoping I can figure out where FM gets injected into the amp.

You gonna do the same on the other unit with fan?

The radio works well but it is missing a frequency coil to tune the different radio stations, so I wanted to know if you could tell me the codes. the coil so I can search for it and be able to repair my radio, I thank you in advance, thank you. The coil I'm asking you about is located just behind the radio's power button, along with two 47 microfarad 16 volt electrolytic capacitors.

I just bought a 1970 something Datsun truck with a 8 ft. Bed . Going to do the same as you . Should come in handy for my ranch . 👍

There are dedicated Aux input from the harness itself. AKA the AUX setting. Some of these came with CD players built in with an AUX tape player. I would have to check what pin out the back is LEFT and RIGHT. Dissassembly is unnecessary.

These radios are smarter then people gave them credit for. You don’t see many modern radios you can unplug from the battery it’ll remember everything programmed. So turns out that’s w smart radio

That is not a pre theft lock model. It’s a lower end model. Made around the same time as the theftlock ones

When you had the run in the hood. Did you have to sand the whole hood. Or just the area of the run. I just painted with it and had the problem with the dust in a few areas. And was debating on sanding the whole panel. Or just where the dust is. Was curious if the next coat would look even.

Looks like mine but mine is red...lol..it says 130292 it was on a tiller and it had a tiny iron pulley on the cam for reverse which I cut off..I've got mine hooked to a 2000 watts Winco generator for charging my solar batteries but it has been sitting a long time...I've got gaskets for the fuel pump...I had it started running on half choke..there's a black wire that should go to the coil and the throttle linkage has a brass tab it touches when you turn throttle off thereby killing spark

In better detail than the others... To stop the engine, there is a “z” or “7” shaped bracket bolted on the head and hovers by the spark plug. It’s thin metal and somewhat springy. Hold it, touching the top of the spark plug, and it grounds the ignition and stops the spark plug from sparking. Hold it down until engine fully stops, or the momentum of the engines rotation will let it start back up.
