Lovely video, Thankyou. I've just subscribed, hope your channel does well. I live in northern Greece. I live in a flat, fortunately I have a tiny garden in which I've managed to plant a few brassicas, sowed some beetroot, carrots and some lettuce. I also have 3 pepper plants that are still fruiting. If the instructions say 'broadcast the seeds' that's what they mean. Not in lines. Also, if you want to make the most of your green manure, you should chop it up when it's grown then dig the plants into your soul, including roots. I don't know how that's going to go down with the no dig theory

Great job 👍 I don’t use green manure but I do top all my beds with mushroom manure each winter. The only thing with green manure is to make sure you hope it in before it goes to seed 😂 or you never get rid. Some people smash the stems with a hammer and still compost them but like you I don’t bother I just put on the huge veg compost bed that can sit for years. It has turned quite cold here but rains are on the way for days 😢. Have a marvellous weekend and keep up the awesome work, Ali 🥶🌞🇨🇦

I just found your channel today (4 days after you posted this). I am so happy and grateful I did. I love gardening but a few years ago has a couple of accidents and now have health issues that make it more difficult. Not impossible but I have to be careful. So, the first thing to say is I LOVE your no dig method. It looks like a method that would be great for someone like me. You said you I the wooden box and then laid cardboard down then mulch. May I ask what type of mulch did you buy for this? It looks like you planted things into the mulch rather than soil? I will go back and enjoy watching all your previous vlogs. I also really enjoyed watching the wildlife, foxes are so cute and playful and it’s fun to watch them when they don’t know anyone’s there.
@Allotment_life18 күн бұрын
Hello and welcome :) I learned this method from watching Charles Dowding videos and trying out various combinations. It is worth searching his name on youtube as his videos are very much 'how to'. Personally I laid very thick cardboard, watered it and covered it with compost, mostly shop brought to begin with but now I add any of my compost from the allotment. I 100% recommend growing potatoes in sacks as I've got good results and zero digging required. I hope that you find the vlogs enjoyable :)

You can harvest the fennel now as baby veg! This is what i did this year as i had a feeling it was getting ready to bolt, due to the random weather. You can get fennel varieties which do grow biggish bulbs but personally i prefer them young and smaller. I think they are tastier. Hope that helps.
