@@teresacrowley4076 this year was worst than last year and we still had so many to take home as well as enough to leave for the bees so everyone got to enjoy them 🌸🌼. They’re such beautiful flowers 😊

I've got 48 on my allotment. Luckily living in the South of England I can leave mine in the ground and just cover with mypex.

@@vanessaeden8174 48 different types of dahlias?! That’s amazing! Do you have space to grow much else? I could leave mine in the ground but don’t want to risk it incase of a very water logged spring

​@Allotment_life I have a 10 rod allotment so roughly 250 metres of plots to grow things on. Most of my dahlias were purchased over the years from various places including Wilko😊I just wish they were fragrant.

@@StevenCollins-u4m yes that was my slug defence, dahlias are very tasty to them! You get lots of flowers from one tuber so I think they’re good value for money 😀

700 subs 🎉🎉 keep going 💪. My dahlias are always grown in pots well 😅 only done them one year. I tucked them all away in the shed dry and warm and hopefully not rat feasts over winter. I found seed don’t come true to the original colour sometimes. Happy Sunday vlogmas stay safe, Ali 🌞🥶🇨🇦 Try popping the bits that. Role off in a ziploc with a wee bit of moist soil they may sprout again

That's a really good idea about.a zip lock bag and some soil with the small dahlia bits. If I remember I'll give it a try. Happy New Year! :)

@@myrustygarden that’s really interesting about the seeds not being true to colour. I wouldn’t know because I grew from a mixed pack and was just delighted that I managed it this year 🌱🤣. Seeds are easier to store than tubers that’s for sure. Thank you, yay!🎥🎉

The bulbs will turn to mush in the greenhouse .That isn't frost free .

@@susiespearing6165 they are only there for a short time to dry out after I dunked them in the bucket 😊. Soon they’ll be tucked up for winter 🌼🌸
