@@MisterFilOfficial Because dominant sprinters like Bolt and Blake came and went. And an all time great like Shelly-Ann is on her way out. In any sport, there are great atletes who come around once in a lifetime. Dominant sprinters like Elaine Thompson and Sherika Jackson are still there ... they just weren't at the Olympics. And there are young guns coming up. Like the Clayton twin - in which Tia Clayton was in the Olympic final. And there's also Brianna Lyston at LSU, who opted to close her season after the NCAA. She's one for the future. And on the men's side, Bolt and Blake might be gone (Blake is still running but his best days are clearly in the past), but Kishane Thompson, who's very young, just made his presence known. And there are young guns like Nkrumie who broke the Jam junior record two years ago by being the first sub-10 junior from the island. As well as there are other young males and females. Remember that prior to Bolt & Powell on the male side, and prior to Veronica Campbell on the female side, Jamaica only had sporadic sprinters here and there ... and had never won a sprint Gold medal (with the exception of Donald Quarrie who won 200 at the 1976 Olympics). So the dominance that we saw was in the years between 2004 and 2016. Remember that at one point, even the American male sprinters seemed to have vanished, and then there was a resurgence. I think a lot of persons tend to judge Jamaican track dominance based on the phenomenon that was Bolt. One last thing .. at the last Olympics, the Jamaican track performance was not really any worse than it would historically have been. Had Shericka Jackson not been injured, she more than likely would have won two medals, and the tally would have been at the number that most people would have predicted.

@@Its_I_Ziggyman I agree, but as I mentioned in the video, there is a root problem that may prevent new promising Jamican sprinter to reach professional level, and it's strictly related to the country's administration.

JAM was massively bailed out by its Field Athletes in the Paris OLY! On the JAM Female side, while it'll be great to see the Big 3 in Shelly (38), Elaine (33) & Shericka (31) back in '25, it's time for the next generation of which there's plenty of depth to start coming through & delivering on that potential; Brianna Lyston, Tia & Tina Clayton, Kemba Nelson, Alana Reid, Briana Williams, Kevona Davis, Lanae-Tava Thomas, Serena Cole etc. Having a healthy 48.57 Nickisha Pryce back in the 400m is also needed so is the likes of Candice McCleod, Charokee Young, Stacey Ann Williams & Roneisha McGregor all consistently running sub 50s. On the Male side, in addition to Kishane Thompson, it's time for Ackeem Blake to level up & make a Global 100m Final & for Oblique Seville to finally deliver in his 4th Global 100m Final after 4th, 4th & 8th place finishes! In the 200m, Andrew Hudson needs to rediscover his sub 20s form and the likes of Levell & Seville need to become consistent sub 20s sprinters. In the 400m, the likes of Watson, Bailey, Watkin & Powell need to rediscover their low-to-mid 44s form!

Thank you for this comment! Totally agree-JAM field athletes really came through in Paris. While the Big 3 are still going strong, it’s definitely time for the next generation to shine. They’ve got so much young talent, and the depth is there. Same on the men’s side, big hopes for Blake and Seville to step up and deliver at the global level. Exciting times ahead for Jamaican athletics?

He also said that he did not really care that he was the first white athlete under 10 s, what really mattered was the 10s barrier itself. And he was astonished when the KKK and other white supremacist organizations reached him 😅

Must be noted that he was also one of the very few PED-free at this level at that time. Jamaica's performances are not only due to skin color... Same for Trinidad, and US, that actually have some controls, also have a long list of convictions.

Nothing is achievable at the top of athletics without PEDs. If Russia had a state-run system why were they not winning everything🤔 Could it be because the West has an individually run system ?
