@MikeWindsor6 күн бұрын
Nice! No, I didn’t bring any via feratta gear. If you’re comfortable in the mountains and with a little light scrambling there’s no need for it imho

Tres belle video.

@@MikeWindsor Just watched this video to the end. Beautiful shots. I am planning to hike all the Alps from Trieste on the East to Menton or Monaco on the West in 2028 but cannot make videos like that. You should maybe join 😉 Btw are you from Colorado ?

@@MikeWindsor Not the Via Alpina Red but one of the routes I have put down that follows the Red and Green via Alpina in parts only. Because of time and budget constraints I am going for a route that will take 4 months. Still less than your local PCT 😀

You are the first, out of all of the Hayduke videos I've watched, to discover the John Wesley Powell plaque in Parunuweap Canyon. I don't know if other people just didn't know about it, but it's kinda some cool history to see. I went down Fat Man's Misery slot canyon 20+ years ago to check it out. It's too bad that they keep having rock slides at the Weeping Rock location cause the trail down to Weeping Rock has some fabulous views of Zion. I think when I do the Duke I might add a slot canyon in there. Thanks for sharing your journey.
@MikeWindsorАй бұрын
Oh really? We did explore a bit further past where the standard Hayduke route leaves the canyon so that's probably why others have missed it.
@rangeandravineАй бұрын
@MikeWindsor if you explore even further you'll come to a deep waterfall that goes deep into the canyon and is not passable without ropes. I prefer the East Fork over the Narrows actually. Too many people in the Narrows. Parunuweap is much more quiet and secluded. Fat Man's is a fun canyon. One guy in a previous Hayduke video went up Fat Man's on accident and camped in their. Eventually he would have discovered it was not the correct exit cause it's a one way canyon requiring technical canyoneering skills. It's super fun.

Bonjour, je pense avoir compris (avoir vu) que vous avez campé en Italie, au moins une fois en dessous de 2500m. INTERDIT !

Camping may be illegal, but it seems that an overnight bivouac in the mountains is generally allowed, or at least tolerated. I had no issues during my time in Europe and it appeared to be a common practice.
