I finally got around to watching this and it was really interesting. I think the force probably does provide a valid in-universe explanation, since both Anakin and Obi-wan were on the planet for a long time without catching on fire, and it was only after he lost his limbs, which George Lucas said at the time (although I think Disney retconned it) that it drastically reduced his force power, that he caught on fire. So it's probably possible that they had some kind of forcefield (pun intended) around them that was creating a more stable environment. It does make me curious on if the separatists that were on the planet were all just species that had a higher blood temperature to begin with or were cold blooded or something like that, or if the inside of the buildings were a stable environment. I assume the latter since padme could survive on the landing pad so it's possible that there was a genuine shield around the landing pad
