Going to Jason for me would be like going to Ruth Chris Steak House when I am happy going to the Golden Corral. I have friends and staff members who care for me and make me feel like family and loved.

Tried it out today and after 2 hours (followed recipe to the letter) unfortunately no crackling at all! Got a good Zanussi oven…. So where did I go wrong??

I suppose you could say that this was sung straight from the horses mouth , so to speak . Mind you , you wouldn't have said that while Mister Mitchum was still around . Not unless you liked the idea of spending a bit of time in the recovery ward afterwards .

He actually used salt rather than some crappy knorr product 😮

I just cleaned up a bunch of old 45 rpms from my parents' garage and this one had no label left except "...OLD WINE DRINKE..." Had to do an internet search, so thanks for posting this! Looks like it was written by: H. Mills and D. Jennings. B Side was "Walker's Woods." Recorded January 19, 1967

A great film actor -- unparalleled as a villain in Night of the Hunter and Cape Fear - but not in that class as a singer, imho. Apologies to anyone this offends!

When do I add the glaze - at the start of cooking or half way through?
@lucyd7510 ай бұрын
According to the recipe, you add it after it's cooked 👍
@miginty10 ай бұрын
Ah I thought it would be added to cook on to the crackling. Thanks - Ill "crack on" with it now ;)

Also take note how he's very cost-conscious regarding the cuts of meat used in many of his videos. When you've spent time as a head chef you're very budget-aware, with home cooking (especially with today's cost of living) this is equally as important. A lot of celebrity chefs are completely out of touch with this particular aspect. What's the point spending over £20 on a prime cut of meat if all you're going to do is fuck about with it like some kind of special idiot?

This was one of our meals, of our 12 days of Christmas. Do you remember when mum and dad where off from Christmas Eve until the 2nd of January Coal fires and family and friends would call in. Mince pies Christmas cake and sweets. Adults got sherry or a pint from a large can of Whitney brown Where did those days go. I grew up and Maggie killed the unions. Enjoy your Christmas and Boxing Day if you’re lucky. Most shops are open Boxing Day.

Respect for Gordon, no question. But tell whzen hes Ego will fill in a small romm and throw away the 3 starts...or show me one series where atlest 5 times NOT mentions them. This is him and not Marco in a nutshell. I never used recepie from book I just love cooking and just do it when I feel like I want to and yes, it is fun like this. Sometimes 5 times a week sometimes 1 time. I live alone so, I have the advantage to not care about it that much. (I mean how many times, not the fun part oc. if I have everything at home even than I did not sure I would cook every day..maybe, maybe not.)
