Im trying to determine if I want to take it next year… I’m not good at chemistry or math no matter how hard I try/how well I understand but I really want to work with astronomy. I don’t know if it’s worth it, or if I should just take a normal class and try to found clubs. I know no one that’s interested in space though ): (I got C+s on both math and chemistry first quarter, but I’ve been getting higher test and quiz grades so I still have time to decide)

I only disagree with the use of similar octaves and fifths, they appear a lot more in baroque and classical music than in renaissance, look at bach chorales for reference. Also, these fifths need to be of the same kind, so you can go from dim5th to perfect5th no problem. Bach and baroque composers use all kinds of tricks that strict romantics avoid, so dont be so afraid of them.

the perfect 5th and perfect 4th in 12TET are also in just intonation's ratio in portuguese we call them quinta justa and quarta justa, or just 5th and just 4th i believe the reason its called perfect and not just, is to avoid confusion, because "just 5th" sounds like "only 5th", but the word "justa" means the note is tight or precise, even though ptolemy was greek, he lived in roman territories, and he named just intonation from the latim word juxta that means "nearby" or "closest to"

Correction, major is more like bright, and minor is more like dark. Would you call the Tetris Theme sad? Well it's in minor key.

All you need to know really is the basics of how directional forces work and how to the. translate those idea into text. You also need to know a few more things outside of this. It really depends if it's on college board or written.

This coloring system would be perfect for the piano roll in fl studio! It already lets you assign colors to arbitrary groups of notes and all that's missing is an option to tie these colors to specific pitches. Like, they could totally add this and it wouldn't even be that hard to implement
@emilev21344 ай бұрын
Really appreciate the video! Why go for just four first notes? Like you could take de five first notes of a scale for exemple then repeat, or in alternance four and three for exemple? Or even 1, after 2, after 3, after 4, after 5, after 6, after the whole thing, Would it work? What about other scales famillies like melodic minor or double harmonic major? Can you build a "super melodic minor"? Also if you use one quarter tone in your initial structure, like a maqam's tetrachord, would you be able to generate more structures?

Bach is technically considered a part of the rococo period. The "transition" between baroque and classical methods. In fact, he was considered old fashioned during his day. Imagine Duke Ellington, composing big band music in 1990. No one would have cared. Same for Johann unfortunately. :(
