I like the way you presented Nature in relation to Evolution and Oceans! I played Evolution a lot, now I wonder what will happen to Evolution after Nature takes over... On the apps they both play smoothly, but going back from Nature to Evolution will cause a weird feeling I suppose 😅

I've backed Thorgal and I'm waiting for mine all-in to be delivered in a few days. I'm also a fan of Thorgal's comic books. Definitelly best known european comic book. So different then USA's superhero comic books, but for fans of viking's theme - one of the best stories. Thanks for this video. Very well done. Best regards from Poland, home of Grzegorz Rosiński - Thorgal's comic books artist's.

it's sad that they don't know how to play when you are vampire. Because you can win the game by being a vampire. 🤣🤣

Thanks for the in-depth review! I have enjoyed a lot of King of Tokyo with friends and own the New York version along with some expansion stuff (Power Up cards and that triangle die). Not sure that I want anymore out of this game series, but I'd certainly try this Duel version if I given the chance.

16:55 I am completely smitten with this game I haven't played. I feel so bad that my game-partners couldn't handle a commitment to Oath and it's systems, but the base Arcs is 100% going on my wishlist! I was just listening to some older Ben Prunty (FTL) music yesterday while thinking about Arcs, so I'm really glad Mr. Wehrle mentioned FTL! A pair of my friends are in a local Pitch cards-league, and we've just gotten into Euchre, so this will fit right in with them! Libertalia is already a household favourite- I'll try a game or three with the altered reputation reward thresholds- that rebalancing does seem better. (I'm already making alternate card-art with One Piece characters).

(People being hard to pin down and making a situation where lying consented to are things I consider regarding hidden-role games, but just hearing that WehrleGig's next project is a hidden role game about queer subculture means I'll hold out on acquiring anything until Molly House is released!)

Art should match the primary source material. Marvel is better with comic art, Buffy was great with stills, Alien and Predator failed on this (still great games, though).

4:35 Probably because it's hard to find friends to play games with. :( I used to have a fairly large group (two separate groups, actually), but between adulting and the pandemic, everyone is doing their own thing these days. I really like 2-player games, personally.

Ha!, the screenshot. For this duel version, my expectation was that, by removing the multiperson banter, its lightness was not gonna be enough to sustain the entertainment factor. Great vid production, btw!

Ok... this is beyond redundant. Elder Scrolls is in and of itself an homage/rip-off of dungeons and dragons. It was literally created by a group of three Bethesda employees while they were playing dungeons and dragons. Todd Howard was another Bethesda dev that occasionally played DnD with them. There's pics of all of them at DnD conventions. This isn't hidden. There are interviews with the creators where they explain that Elder Scrolls was created because there wasn't a good DnD video game at the time. Every single aspect of Elder Scrolls is inspired by DnD. Funny thing is... the original creators of Elder Scrolls were pushed out of Bethesda because they wanted the games to stick closer to their table top rng roots. Bethesda wanted to make the games more commercially sellable to people that didn't play DnD. Thus gradually the Elder Scrolls games have become Action Adventure and not true RPGs. The same original developers are right now creating a new RPG, Wayward Realms, which is closer to DnD.

Thanks for the insights into how the interactions feel. I am sort of anxious that the luck factor turns out being too impactful. Do you think that the two win conditions and the high amount of player interaction is enough to mitigate it? I feel like drawing 2 hazards in succession while another player drew a mythic item just kills the fun for the rest of the game.
