I have a ton of X-Wing and I never went down the 2nd edition upgrade kits route. I still play with my friends without the worries of rules change, I noticed once Atomic Mass owned it the prices of ships doubled. That's crazy. A new Horrified sounds cool. I pre-ordered Marvel United multiverse set. Captain Carter has become a favored character of mine.

Same here. I stayed at 1st Edition and my friends and I still love playing. Glad we got all the ships early on. It's a fun game.👍

X-wing was remarkable for being a game where a competitive, tournament list could be built for $100.

Im not big on atomic mass. I feel like they keep fumbling the ball with marvel crisis protocol. Ive been trying to get an offical matt for the game and i havent seen once since launch of the game. Then there are all sort of out of print minis that i want to get. It feels like they just jeep making new models and throw all the other stuff in the trash.

People can get too litigious sometimes... but I'm pretty sure it of well known that Carcassonne was the first. If a company that sells games names themself that, they're kind of taking ownership of the word/concept that someone else created. Podcasts and games with the name feel different. They aren't pretending to own it.
