According to the 2025 Honda Ranchers Owners manual on page 260 it suggests avoiding full throttle starts, rapid acceleration, and constant rpm operation for the first 15 miles, this all the owners manual says regarding the break in period. I haven’t seen anything as of the moment about not putting the vehicle under load, or towing during a break in period. If I find anything out that is confirmed to be official from Honda I will empathize that in the future, but as it stands that is all I have found that has come from Honda about a break in period on their ATV engines. Only the first 15 miles, the differential fluid isn’t to be replaced, but every 2 yrs according to the owners manual, not the initial 100 mile, 20hr first oil change.

I bought a Husqvarna yth2348 , Intek vtwin motor, regular riding mower in 2014. Can’t remember what I paid for it but it $2,000 something then. I’ve got close to 400 hours on it, runs great, with no major problems except replacing the coils because of mice. I can’t see paying the kind of money they want for zero turns. Best thing I like is Husqvarna puts grease fittings everywhere their needed.

My 2007 base 3.7L h3 has 231,000 miles. My front drive shaft also made that loud clicking sound. You can restore it by adding high temp grease to the CV joints boot. Overtime, the grease leaks out or runs dry. I live in Tampa and bought it in Tampa. Hmu if you ever want to go off roading

Hey bud came across your page looking at old yanmars. I have a good tip for you on the subject of tipping so easy. I own a 1977 2210D that i bought from Fredricks outdoor in Alabama. love my tractor a lot but as you stated they a very narrow. What I did was swap the front wheels around. By doin so it pushes the wheels out further therefore making a wider stance on the front end. BTW Hoye is great for getting parts but so is Fredricks Equipment in Decatur Al. Also since these old tractors dont have live pto, when using a bush hog you really need an over run clutch [ slip clutch ] that slides onto the pto shaft. it allows the blades to slowly wind down without pushing the tractor forward which can be very dangerous.
@6.2_vortec
@6.2_vortec Ай бұрын
I have formed a habit of putting it in neutral any time I have to stop while running the pto. I appreciate the tip on the wheels, my concern was with them flipped out it would be wider than my bucket. I haven’t ordered anything from Fredrick’s yet but Hoye seems like their service went downhill after getting bought out.

You have most likely discovered the teeth can be sharpened to a point. Then they can be replaced. Grung off the button on the rivet, punch out and remove from bar. Put on blade and re-rivet. Easy Peasy. I am 77 years. I have done this more than few times.

WHO’s did this bring back memories. My step-grandmother had a 40 acre farm here in Washington State. They farmed with draft horses, when the last draft horse died. My step-father bought a Farm-all Cub tractor. The horse drawn equipment was converted to tractor pull. We mowed the hay with the shackle mower and the hay rake was a rope trip so you could create rows. The we hooked the tracker to the old horse drawn hay sled. This was back breaking work as you walked along with hand forks loading the sled. Then offloading into the hayloft. Thankfully, this only lasted 2 years and they he started getting the hay balled. We still had to load and load onto the hay sled. What wasn’t a lot of fun was having to ride on the manure spreader. It had a foot active gear that started the beater blades in the rear and a system that fed the manure into the beaters. You can imagine what it was like for the guy riding on the spreader seat. The speed the blades turned was dictated by the speed of the tractor. There were times, he know what it’s like between brothers, If the driver wasn’t happy with the brother on the spreader. You can imagine what it could be like. PUEW.

For being a utility it’s pretty quick. Fast wouldn’t be the word but it chirps the tires on asphalt between 1st and 2nd when you floor it in sport mode. How often would you really drive more than 10-20 on a trail anyways? This tops out at 64 easily and maintaining 55mph is easy.

If you want to transform the comfort of the rear seats, I highly recommend you look up Rad Customs in ID. They make a bracket where you add a RZR seat base and then set it where the factory butt pad goes. It makes sitting in the back so comfortable........to the point where my kids fight to sit in the back and not the front. Before that they hated riding in the Pioneer in general, and I don't blame them. The only thing you need to understand up front about Rad Customs is they don't mass produce these brackets. If you go on the website it will tell you exactly when they are going to ship.

@@6.2_vortec I have thought of that also. Even the really old hand powered push spining finger removers. I'm just thinking without more motors. . I do have two spare junk mowers, and just pushed one in gear, worked forward/reverse whether you were litterally in forward, or reverse. Now if made sleave for extending one set of axels/cut the spare axels Get more center clearance. Probably wouldn't push for more than 6" either side. Oh man. Maybe at some point. Lol

Funny how someone with some actual engineering knowledge tries this and warns you how dangerous it is and then every sycophantic 'Tuber jumps on the bandwagon and goes and does it inbred redneck style...This might be OK to pull behind a tractor. Definitely not something you want to be pulling with an ATV, unless your goal is to get decapitated. Your support structure is woefully inadequate for the mass you are pulling. There is a high risk of the diff separating from the tow vehicle, with unpredictable and potentially catastrophic results. But, hey, if it weren't for people like you KZbin wouldn't exist in the first place. Congratulations, you made an upside down helicopter. You live with danger, you die with danger and I'm damn lucky to have survived my 20s.
