I’m gonna try it I have bought so much crap. Mine is fungus on my horses forehead.
@equinechallengesupplements2 ай бұрын
For the forehead you can put in a spray bottle 50/50 solution water/white vinegar and leave it on, no rinsing.
@user-wn5ow9fp6i3 ай бұрын
What is the vinager ratio? Could i just use a spray bottle? How often
@equinechallengesupplements3 ай бұрын
@@user-wn5ow9fp6i apply daily. You want to saturate the coat down to the skin. 50/50 if you use a spray bottle. If you use an attachment to a hose, 100% vinegar and the water from the hose will mix with it.

Hi Julia...this is the time of year that horses are shedding out, and it can be a lot of hair! Are their bald spots from hair falling out, or the summer coat underneath? Feel free to email me with more info if you'd like. [email protected]

Hello where can I get that sprayer that attaches to water hose I’ve seen some at Home Depot for garden and it says 2 cup of vinegar with water or u can do tsp of vinegar it releases with water. How much vinegar should it release
@equinechallengesupplements2 жыл бұрын
Hello. The sprayers at home depot in the garden dept. work great as well as the horse shampoos that come in a sprayer. If the sprayer has settings, choose the setting for a 50/50 dilutions, equal amounts of vinegar and water.
@jessicastewart7322 жыл бұрын
Where did you get your hose attachment?
@equinechallengesupplements2 жыл бұрын
You can use either a weed and feed hose attachment from the garden section or a horse shampoo bottle hose attachment. I don't remember which one we used for the video.

Yes, that would be fine. And I suggest not doing a water rinse when you are finished, just leave it on and allow the coat to dry.

Hi there! I have a mustang thats suffered every summer with sweet itch or some type of allergy. He rubs his entire mane and tail out each June. I thought feeding flax everday would help but no :( his neck is so tight and he's in so much pain from rubbing his skin raw. Will spraying vinegar solution on his open sores sting? Should I cover them with diaper cream first and then spray the rest of him down? I feel so hopeless...

Yes, the vinegar will balance the PH and help to get rid of the thrush. You can do this several times a day if needed and when possible. Let stand on concrete or a mat while the sole of the hoof is drying.

After a really wet spring and summer several of our horses had white line. I used White Lightening, followed directions to the letter and each horse only required 2 treatments to cure it completely. They were all barefoot and vinegar did not turn it around. Vinegar is great though, we use it around the house, farm and bathrooms and like you do for routine hoof cleaning, anywhere we want to prevent bacteria and such from building up. But, the one time we had a problem that developed suddenly the White Lightening took care of it and have not had any problems since.

WOW. Thank you SO much! I was at a loss of what was causing my horse to lose hair and what to do, etc, and I was just about to call the vet and spend a butt load of money, but I decided I would check out KZbin first and see if maybe, just maybe, I could find some home remedy to help that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg because we're getting ready to move at the same time and need to conserve money as much as possible -- but I also want the absolute best for my mare -- thank you for this video!!! You explained the underlying solution and how to help her irritated skin now, and you gave helpful insight or "food for thought" as a lot of people would put it. PLEASE keep up your work! I'm going to look for more of your videos!!!

I have a question. My horse a Belgian Draft is losing the hair from her main and tail. What can I do? It is not from rubbing it's from falling out or brittleness.

Thank you for the video. I can't afford a custom saddle. I have a saddle King because someone gave it to me and I keep it because it's the only saddle I can put on my draft (Belgium) because it;s light enough. I am 66 and don't have the arm strength I used to have so throwing a regular saddle up is impossible for me. I have one but by the time I get it on the saddle on the saddle pad is so far moved I can't get it right again. So with the Saddle King, I have a problem with the saddle slipping from side to side. We only walk on trails. She has no withers. I don't know what to do. I have resorted to a bareback pad but I am not sure I feel that comfortable with that. Do you have any suggestions?
@welovepets10008 жыл бұрын
I would love to see the draft tree on her. i have a morgan mare with the same build and am trying to find a used saddle to fit her. I found one that fits the withers but then bridges.

btw this only began a few months back am hoping now cooler weather is coming it will help she never got it until she was moved to a paddock were cattle had been i have since moved her to a better one, i am very upset as she is a very stunning 100% Arabian filly, in dry inland areas of Australia we dont have such problems but this is a lush greendairy cattle hill ar
