I had to go check. It is a DWS779. I was going to buy the one with a laser, but for the price difference, I just decided to use my eyes instead. I can only compare it to the old Makita started with. I placed the bottom box like 4-6" off the bottom. What ever I do on the bottomw i match on top. then split the difference. I advertise as 48" tall but at an angle. Depending on the piece you start with I sometimes fudge the numbers. A ten footer works but an 8 footer wont. Just have fun with it and learn from the first one. When I make a few they are all the same. The next time i make them they are different. Hope that helps
