I like this do I just have one problem.. I just think they downgraded in quality because you’re telling me that’s a BARBIE SIGNATURE COLLECTION DOLL??? I think it should be a play line doll because of the quality besides that it’s a really good doll

I never keep my dolls in box, but this is the only one I would keep boxed forever. I love the details inside and outside her box, she looks ethereal. Ariel is my favorite Disney princess since I was a kid and I have a few dolls (all of them Disney, I don't like the face sculpts made by mattel and I think this is not one of the prettiest Ariel... but she is iconic for her dress and details. I wish her head wasn't this big, it gives me Hasbro doll vibes).

Omg I adore and love this doll, really Mario she didn't sell out as fast as past Ariel dolls have , and she came back into stock 4 times , so even with the 2 limit if people wanted her they had chances upon chances to get her. I do think the 2 limit is good , because it gives fans the chance to have one to display in and out of box. I do think this variant is so much more better then the D23 doll. The D23 one looked like a bar maid with the style of dress they gave her. I loath the white puffy top of her dress of the D23 doll it looks like she is a German Beer maid. This variant looks so much more movie accurate. I think your doll has hair issues , because mine is full and even with the product in it looks amazing so maybe you just received doll that had hair issues.I love the gems used as they pop against the blue fabric. The shoes are stunning on this doll. I think this is one of the best Ariel 17 inch dolls released from Disney Store.

D23 Ariel - more elegant, more beautiful, much better hair than the new Ariel. You can say whatever you want that your Ariel has thick hair, but you haven't uploaded a single piece of evidence, on the Disney website your Ariel doll is in a box and you haven't opened it. I saw your review there exactly the same about the barmaid Ariel d23 from Germany. You didn't open the doll, and if you did, no one will believe you in words that your new Ariel has exactly the same thick hair as D23.

I think more than the checkout this release is just truly a slap in the face with the glued ribbons and minimal detail, if they were going to do something that egregious she should have been 90-100 dollars because even a lot of PLAYLINE habe sewn ribbon detailing, with the rising price point they need to get this quality in check,, it makes me want to not buy any releases at all, and I haven’t since kida for a reason,, I know its an absurd reaction to just ribbons but honestly sucks this is a doll I have been so excited for and shes an absolutely gorgeous doll,, just not up to what I expect from a limited edition doll.

Do you think she’ll go up in value like her 30th anniversary counter part? I’ve noticed every heirloom Ariel doll that Disney has released is close to if not $1000 dollars or more :/

It wouldn’t surprise me if GR Ariel has less hair than the D23 version. I remember seeing pictures/reviews of the 65th Aurora LE doll and that doll had a serious lack of hair too, so maybe it’s another weird cost cutting thing? It’s ridiculous tho, the D23 is special because you can’t see the hair plugs? 🙄Both Ariels are beautiful to look at, but are definitely lacking in some areas.

I'll tell you this, Disney dropped a big bombshell with this release. It took me two hours to get checked out, I kept pressing the check out button, and finally the website let me check out. I honestly feel so bad for other people who have received the doll damaged. Disney better fix this issue when they release Cinderella, Mary Poppins and Pocahontas next year.
