I actually think the fins are pretty accurate for a fabric tail! I think they specifically designed Ariel’s onscreen tail to translate to the merchandise, a lot of the fabrics really mirror the new iridescent double fin tail design!

Mine just arrived! I got number 380! I was able to grab her during a recent and very brief re-stock in the wee hours of the morning! Funny thing, the thread holding her hair was broken, and her hair was all over the place! I'm not mad at it because I was thinking of doing that myself, but probably wouldn't have been brave enough because I don't unbox. She looks great!!

I do believe that this limited edition doll should also jave that glittering effects in the body just like the Cinderella live action limited edition. In that way it can represent as Ariels scales in her body and face. And to give that wet look. But overall she is so beautiful 💙

Not a fan how there's paint up to her bellybutton. I get it they wanted it to blend into the tail but it doesn't translate well in doll form. It almost looks more like a factory error.

Agree. It looks weird. And tbh, it would have looked better if the paint was blended with her underwear. They should have at least tried to make it look more like scales and not just like someone ran over her belly with a spraycan. Especially when the doll cost as much as it does.

I actually don’t mind it cause in the live action it does look like that where her skin fades into her tail. Only wish they added scale details.

@@Cand581 yes, but its not that high up and its also tinted purple/violet where her skin and tail fades together. Not this teal-ish green that the doll has. I looked at pictures from the movie trailer, the fade is pretty much where a bikini bottom ends, lower than her belly button. So when the doll has a "floating" ring the covers her belly and is pretty far from the underwear, it just looks weird. I hope a customizer like Hexian, Poppen Ateljer or Moonlight Jewel will work their magic on either this 17" version or on one of the playline versions. If I had the money to buy the doll, I would try to do it myself, but can't even afford the basic playline doll from Mattel.

Hi Mario, she is stunning I love so much her all look and that fact that her hair are smooth, moves and soft like Saran hair, but I'm agree with you about the fact that the caudal fin is not accurate to the movie. In spite of this, I still want to buy her but I have to wait until the new French laws taxes requirements about shipping made by the Europeaan Union have to be known by ShopDisney, because of that, they (ShopDisney) can't take orders from French people for now, that's frustrated. if they released a version of the same doll with a fixed and articulated tail it would be amazing! her face is beautiful and her hair looks amazing. I don't like the removable syrup because it always has looser parts. if it came with the fixed ariel-style syrup that comes in the pack with the sisters, only a more elaborate syrup would obviously be perfect!!!

I’m also disappointed it looks like we aren’t getting the rest of the characters in a special edition from the Disney store but then I was thinking about it and last time Mattel had the license for this they only did a collector doll for Cinderella the step mother and the fairy godmother. Other than that they made no live action dolls and with mermaid they’ve thrown the BOOK at us with the merch and I’m wondering is Disney is just letting Mattel handle the rest this time and they’re “good” with a 12” singing doll and the the 17” limited edition. I love the limited edition doll! And I wish we were getting more from the Disney store but I think cuz if all the Mattel stuff we’ve seen wut the Disney store is doing 😒 also the difference in the 12” face from the 17” face I think is 100% in the lashes I saw a post where someone added lashes to the 12” one and it’s a world of difference with her face it’s crazy!!!

Her hair is just PERFECT! I don't really like this tail unfortunately... It's giving me plastic bag which gives me pollution which NOT GOOD lol. Also the fins are a big no for me, and I also don't like the painted belly 😞 She still does look absolutely beautiful overall tho and I'm still in awe with her stunning hair 😍

I honestly don’t think that she should have that low of a edition number, that seems a bit lower than Kida’s edition number. I honestly hope we do get a LE doll for Asha from Wish this year, her details on her dress is too beautiful to pass for a LE doll. I wonder why we didn’t get a LE doll for Raya or Mirabel in 2021, what gives? Also, I’m still holding on hope for another Giselle LE, and hopefully Anastasia in the future.
