Well done on completing the course on what was obviously a very hot day, you earned your medal. I have entered the 2025 25km race & your video has helped me understand how this race works. It will be my first UTMB race. I wouldn’t be surprised if I saw your face there!

@@williamjamesdeering-webb1656 Thank you and well done for entering. It was a very hard race and indeed very hot. @Sandra-bq3vmАй бұрын
@@YuennyLam it makes a big difference when you can run the entire race without injury. I used to get knee pain all the time running a half marathon around 9 miles or so. That was about 10 years ago. Now I usually run with no pain for the half. But full marathon is completely a different story. Only ran one full when was in the best shape in 2018 with no pain, but not sure if I can handle that distance anymore. The raffle entry stays open for a month or so so I’ll see if I feel up to the challenge.
@YuennyLamАй бұрын
@@Sandra-bq3vm It is a long distance and it takes up so much time to train for as well. See how you feel. It doesn't matter if you don't run a full Marathon again. I really like the Half distance and hoping to run more Halfs. I also want to improve my time overall and try to get a bit quicker.
@Sandra-bq3vmАй бұрын
@@YuennyLam yes half is so much more enjoyable. I think it’s a great idea to travel around the country and run different half marathons and also get to visit different cities. Marathons in the other hand takes much more dedication to train and effort and energy to run it so you won’t be able to fully enjoy the city that you visit. We shall see. I should try one more before I get older and it gets even harder to run such long distances.
@YuennyLamАй бұрын
@@Sandra-bq3vm Totally agree. I feel like for someone who consistently runs, Half Marathons are very doable without having to dedicate all your time to training leading up to it. May not be the best finish time but still able to finish quite easily. I'll continue to run both Halfs and Fulls. There's a series called SuperHalfs here in Europe. It's 6 races in 6 countries and you get a Super medal at the end, so I'm hoping to do that. A lot closer to home as well which would be easier.
