Oh dear! I did not know he died. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Beautiful songs he left us.

I know the Maitlands were the ghosts that listened to Harry Belafonte in the first Beetlejuice movie but i wanted more of his songs in the second one too. This one and many others wouldve fit perfectly. RIP King Of Calypso.👻🪲🧃

Rest in Power, Brother Belafonte. Your lifelong dedication to the righteous struggle against racism and Jim Crow here in the US and apartheid in South Africa will never be forgotten. You belong amongst the warrior class of our black ancestors now and in our hearts forever.

Lord Melody from Trinidad amd Tobago sang the original booboo song. Alot of calypso artiste never copyrighted their work so American entertainers stole them and made it their own.. even the famous rum and coca cola was originally sung by Lord invador of Trinidad and Tobago and was stolen by the Andrews sisters for the mere fact they never copyrighted their artwork..

This is a sad song. I'd never thought about it, just enjoyed the tune. Now, at 74yrs, I understand the sorrow, and I apologize to all the people who have been hurt by my countrymen❤.
