what if it's an existing client I want to start on ledger? I already have the client set up in my client list and I don't see any way to add QB Ledger or QBO to their account. Do I just have to act like it's a new client and then merge them later?

Well it would be nice if this actually worked! I went through and invited all my employees that still showed they needed and invite, including myself, half of us are still stuck in the "classic view" or what I refer to as TSheets and some are in the new version of QB Time. I went to run our hours in QB Time yesterday through QBOA and I was missing half my teams hours, I switch to "Classic View" and they are all on the report and ready for approval. Very frustrating! I've been with QBO, QB Time since the beginning of their inception - TSheets/WorkForce; QuickBooks Online; IOP for Accountants, we were using QBO when CPAs were rejecting it. I'm hoping that prices don't keep increasing while these glitches continue to happen. It is costing me precious time and my team time that I have to pay them for. My payroll has increased by 50% over the last 3 month because of all of the QBO issues and it is not something we can pass onto the client!

Workforce is the absolute worst, piece of garbage, useless software app I've ever seen. It never works properly. Definitely avoid it.

It would be good if you address common questions/ problems. Like, what to do when you are uploading bulk and information is repeated (i.e. 2 emails / address/ etc). Is there a way to format the spread sheet to enter both emails for the same name?. Is there going to be a problem when sync info from other apps (i.e. etsy/ square/ etc?)

I need to add someone who can reconcile the accounts. NOT pay bills. Every user description that can reconcile can also pay bills. As usual, this Intuit video is professional, with lovely ai voiceover and great graphics but they basically say nothing that is not self-explanatory when you go onto the QBO account. Everything the ai has said is something one can easily figure out in an instant. Lots of words, little value. I think Intuit has become overgrown. Oh, and try calling them on a Saturday when you have time off of work. Oops, they're closed : ((

Assets are only supported in the Advanced version. Everyone else needs to work with journal entries and accounts. I'm eyeing Xero accounting as my next accounting package to try.

OK, but when are you going to fix the dozens of bugs in the software? Like the popups that never go away, or the reports that don't refresh, or the reconciliation that doesn't refresh, or the payment defaults that aren't applied when importing invoices from a spreadsheet?

I’m sorry been seeing this commercial for a while and always get a bit hard seeing that hot blonde girl so good finally figured out the name of this commercial.

Solopreneur would be a great solution...if it actually worked the way it is supposed to. This product was clearly rushed to the market before it was ready and is full of bugs. There are massive issues with the transaction categorization. According to Intuit's own help documents there are supposed to be predefined categories that match up to the schedule C in turbotax... they don't. Things as simple as having the "other business expenses" category just simply aren't there. There are also categories such as "photo equipment over 200" that are available in Solopreneur to flag a transaction as an asset but there is no accompanying "photo equipment under 200" category to go into the profit and loss report. There are also issues getting third party integrations from places like Square or PayPal to work. You try to add the integration for Quickbooks online and you just get a "page not found" error. I connected the Epson Smartscan app to it and it caused all kinds of problems that their support had no idea how to fix. If you try and import transactions from Smartscan they go in but are impossible to find on the transactions page because they go into a special "epson smartscan" category that isn't part of the predefined categories that they setup for Solopreneur so the transaction page ignores them. They do however show up on the "profit and Loss" reports and completely mess up the data. If you made the mistake like I did of importing a bunch of transactions from Smartscan you are basically screwed because there is no way to delete them or exclude them. At this point I have spent hours in chats and on the phone talking to support and they always land on the excuse of "solopreneur is a new product and still currently being developed". That's great...but why was this released as a paid product if it isn't actually ready? Why should I be paying to be Intuit's beta tester? I really don't think asking that the categorization actually match the Schedule C is that big of an ask. It also seems pretty lame that there isn't a way to create custom categories that map into the bigger Schedule C categories in Turbotax. I don't really want the more full featured Quickbooks online subscription because it is overkill for my needs. At this point untill they can get their issues fixed I highly recommend that people avoid this product. Honestly you would be better off just using a spreadsheet... it would be less of a headache than dealing with the hassle of trying to work around the limitations in this software and wasting hours with their useless support.

How do we assign a customer's part number to our part number? Cust A calls our part XXXX. Customer B calls the same part YYYY. Customer C calls that same item ZZZZ. They all might have different pricing. Where do I put this info? Advanced pricing only addresses prices.. like for sales. We don't do sales as we are manufacturing.
