@Husky_Shane_BassHead17 күн бұрын
@@walledrodeo8126 I use diodes and have mine at about 15.5. I’m about to switch it up the externally regulated though. I want to run 15.8-16.2

@Husky_Shane_BassHead did u have to do any mods or anything I was just nervous that the pcm wasn't gonna be able to handle anything about 14.8
@Husky_Shane_BassHead16 күн бұрын
@ the PCM doesn’t really like it. The only modification I adding diodes to the sense wired in the alternator harness. I have a video somewhere in my channel of me making one for my truck. Jerry Ain’t Loud has a great video on this as well. The truck voltage fluctuates a lot though. 14.5 at idle and 15.5-8 when I’m giving it some gas. That’s why I’m switching to external regulation to completely bypass what the truck PCM wants to do.

⭐️ Can anyone help me out? I have a '03 Crown Vic Police Interceptor & the charge voltage is controlled by the PCM. I do already have a 350 amp ho alt & big 3 upgrade. I know these vehicles are common so surely there is someone who will see my comment who will be able to give me factual information based on my vehicle.? Can I just add diodes to the sense wire on my vehicles model? I do remember it having a sense wire from back when I installed my ho alt. But I think it also has a wire called "PCM Regulator" as well. Its 10:30 p.m. cold & dark outside so I'll double check it tomorrow when its daylight.
@Husky_Shane_BassHead20 күн бұрын
@@itdoesntmatterwhatyourname6128 I have no personal experience with that specific vehicle. You could see if someone could build you an externally regulated alt for that car. BrandX or Mechman would be who I’d check with first. I also know Brand X makes voltage control knobs. I’d reach out to him and just see what he says
