Love Mick Mars. I was lucky enough to be front row directly below him in a London concert Motley did, and was I mesmerised. Goose bumps the whole set and my favourite guitarist of all time. Proper legend.

I remember doing a gig about 1990 with some mates, we had a non serious band that did pre '80s punk covers, The Stranglers, The Damned, Lords Of The New Church etc. Inbetween songs this guy shouts out, you think your effin Mick Mars, and I replied WTF is Mick Mars? I knew who Mick was but I thought I would wind this dickhead up, suddenly he is surrounded by people all laughing at him shouting WTF is Mick Mars, he hightailed it out of the venue, we did a cover of Top Of The Pops by The Rezillos and the start of the first two verses our singer replaced the lyric with Mick Mars. We had a bit of a local following, whenever we did a local gig the crowd would all shout WTF is Mick Mars with our drummer accompanying them, it was hilarious, I didn't look like Mick Mars at all, I had long black hair tied up and wore a pair of jeans and a t-shirt and a '50s biker jacket.
