A lot of people will make the mistake of flying into the ceiling (that you can't see clearly), instead of keeping a safe distance and flying lower. It's much harder to fly into the ground that you can see.

or build a plane from old bike frames . or timber ..two by four frame or ...some way simpler construction just crude wood and plyplates as wings , in a strong simple way l guess not glue then ,maybe just test strenght of timbers by weight test in middle see if cracks , .. would it work for a few flies at least , fun vid for youtube safer to remote control with man weight sandbag in seat. or old plane wings on old car drive till lifts no propeller.h

That incident 4 years ago sure scared me. It made up my mind to get my instrument rating later on. Thank you for watching and your kind words.
@RetreadPhoto3 ай бұрын
They stopped those takeoffs BECAUSE of you (your IFR), not FOR you. That’s why you cancel when in VMC, and just back it up with an IAP when possible.
@RetreadPhoto3 ай бұрын
Brother would be proud of the flying and the crew resource management, for sure. Not so much the complaining. If you and your plane are IFR-certificated, it’s on you to handle what IFR throws at you, including complicated routes. The airspace is ATC’s, not yours, you’re not up there alone. There are tools available to break out airways, and you can always upgrade to equipment that handle them. A 530 isn’t mandatory equipment. It’s not ATC’s fault your equipment doesn’t handle airways. At one point you mentioned looking outside the plane is the worst thing you can do, but as she said, she did. In VMC, you don’t need to stay on instruments every second until landing. Nice flying, all around.

So you are that guy that doesn't think of climbing to be in glide range or doesn't know how to assess something, but rather inconvenience ATC to redirect traffic because you are scared of over flying a lake. You are an incident waiting to happen. "Real " avaitor. 😂
@TheRealAviatorBen4 ай бұрын
Oh great 'wise' pilot, did you notice that I was in IFR where I was assigned altitude and heading? I guess you missed this one, right? And asking for higher altitude would not interfere with other traffic oh 'great' wannabe? Shooting from the hip seems to be your modus operandi. Got it my wannabe?
@tordea13294 ай бұрын
@@TheRealAviatorBen so you can't ask for higher in IFR? You are anything but a real pilot as you pretend to be. Can't handle the pressure or flying IFR you should rather stay on the ground. You are the real wannebe here.
@TheRealAviatorBen4 ай бұрын
@@tordea1329 Yes, one can ask for higher IFR altitude, but what’s wrong with asking for a different heading? Both options might interfere with traffic. So, I still don’t get your pointless point. I guess that too many facts are hard for you to digest all at once. This, however, doesn’t stop you from speaking out of your rear end, does it. What’s the matter Mommy didn’t breastfeed you? And yes, I can handle the IFR pressure just fine, but I doubt that a peanut gallery mental midget wannabe ‘wise’ pilot like you can. I guess losers like you have nothing else to do in Mommy’s basement except to throw insults at everyone else. Life must be tough, right? Deal with it. Got it my little pilot wannabe? Do alligators jump as high as 3000ft? Did you not fly over an ocean when you flew to the USA from your country? If you don't feel comfortable flying over a lake that means you don't trust your plane. You'd be better off walking.
@Finder2454 ай бұрын
You should not fly a single engine piston over a lake beyond the gliding range of the aircraft. This is basic risk management. I don’t think a lot of people routinely cross oceans in a Cherokee.
@banjo20194 ай бұрын
You have no idea what you’re talking about.
@chriscessna26594 ай бұрын
An airliner is a multi engine airplane that can fly on one engine has life rafts and floatation devices just in case. If you lose an engine in a single engine airplane over a lake you are pretty much screwed. Especially if you are severely injured during the water landing. So it was smart of him not to fly over the lake.
@AlyssaM_InfoSec4 ай бұрын
Living in SE Wisconsin I know these feelz. Trying to get from the Milwaukee area south past Chicago, you basically have two opens, go way out of the way around the ORD Bravo or go out over the Middle of lake Michigan. They simply have no route under 16,000 feet that they'll allow to go through or even over the Bravo. Most of the controllers in MKE understand single engine GA pilots don't want to be way out over the lake and they usually are very good about it.
