You gotta listen to Lucky Daye and I agree with youu! Back then we would all come together cuz music was everything. We would hear live singing and rarely question if it's lipped. Now you don't have to be able to sing it's all about looks.

Listen lol, we are all entitled to our opinions, and if you genuinely didn't enjoy her earlier vocals, I can respect that... me personally, absolutely LOVED and STILL love those vocals! Putting a video together like this that smashes them all together, without the musical build-up and context of what she/ the group were doing, will never sound the best, lol... but all I knlw is growing up listening to this live; an artist that knows how to compliment a track they've recorded with agility led adlibs; showcasing a natural affinity for what to do when and in an era where that was respected and encouraged, will never be tired to me. And it goes to show that Beyoncé can't win no matter what she does; people want more r&b vibes and the "old Beyoncé" in comparison to the country/ ball room dance vibe she's given recently... but those r&b vibes were seeded in this, and plenty of it! So to wrap up my thesis, 😂😂😂, "Killing Time"-esque vocal skills from Beyoncé will alwaaaaays be welcome from me because it's exactlyyyyyy that which made me fall in ❤ with her in the first place! Nice one for putting the vid together though, and sparking a convo! 😊

@Nayel_K.M.29 күн бұрын
In my opinion Michelle should've sung mezzo or Alto so that it in their harmonies there will be like a sandwich because we know how similar Kelly and Bey sound or how their voice could prefectly blend in but with Michelle in the middle it will be like adding more sauce in the sandwich that we didn't think needed especially if Michelle does little runs in the middle like Beyoncé does to "break" the harmonie by going lower or a little higher + her voice would be piercing and standing out just like in the Stand up for love harmony but her voice will be covered with Kelly's sweet tone and Beyoncé powerfull tone. We saw that in the gospel medley from the survivor tour and THEY killed it back then with Michelle jumping from highs to lows 1nd Bey doing the same
@Nayel_K.M.29 күн бұрын
Or they would've put Beyoncé on the highs, Michelle middle with Kelly or just Kelly on the lows and the harmonies would sound like the chorus in get on the bus from the survivor tour and would still kill it. After hearing Michelle from Coachella, Terrel's show and Broadway her churchy/ sweet would make Michelle's harmonies get on a new level of tenderness, her and Bey's matured BEAUTIFULLY while Kelly got back to her mostly angelic tone but even so we can hear how Beyoncé could go on the lows and Kelly middle and Michelle high but if we add LeTo and LaTa to the mix with Tavia holding Tenor under bey and Toya in the middle their harmonies would be at their peak (Farrah would try to sing soprano like in indepedant part 1 to join Michelle or would switch her LeToya so that Toya would go back to her old ways and Farrah to bé enough heard to give her crédit)

That extensive use of whistle register is one of the reasons why she lost so much range and vocal quality in her chest register. It creates so much pressure in the vocal folds. Its extremely damaging. But its what became her trademark so she kept it up over the years at the cost of other parts of her voice.
@humbled92_MisterАй бұрын
@@dawudjibreel6075 yes she has had vocal nodules since she was young and she feared that she would lose her high notes if she got the surgery. Instead of stopping the use of her high notes, she further damaged her already damaged vocal folds. It's like continuing to run on a damaged knee or foot.
@Bambam1234015 күн бұрын
The whistle is not what ruined her voice vuz her vocal cords dosent create a proper whistle note because of her nodules it's the exccsvie belting
@dawudjibreel607515 күн бұрын
@@Bambam12340 Youre talking from fanaticism and not from any place of knowledge on vocal pedagogy. Whistle register singing creates an enormous amount of tension and regular use of it over time affects the quality and range of the rest of the voice. Thats why singers like Jennifer Hudson and JoJo very rarely use it. Just because you can do something, doesnt mean you should. Here are experts talking about it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/habOo2WvgdKtpJo
@Bambam1234014 күн бұрын
@@dawudjibreel6075 once agian the whistle didnt affect her voice she always had it because its part of her voice because of the nodules when she whistles her vocal cords arent properly closing because of them the high demanding belting and singing vocal demanding songs every year with no rest to a toll on her voice
@dawudjibreel607514 күн бұрын
@Bambam12340 Bro it wasn't just the nodules. Extensive whistle register singing is known medically to affect the voice. Your opinion to the contrary does not match up to science so be humble. Why does it matter so much to you anyway when either way her modal voice is damaged regardless of what cause you believe is behind it. So your need to armour up and play Mariah Defence Force doesn't make sense in this case. Relax.
