I now realize why I am not too sold on JHud. her voice is too heavy and loud for me. I love Fantasia though, she has a very unique voice and I understand why some people don't like her voice. It is an acquired taste but I do love how she interprets a song and she owns the phrasing of every song she sings.

Her tone can be pretty depending on how she uses her voice. When she starts squalling and pushing her voice to a more dramatic climax, it can sound a bit off putting, but she knows how to adapt her sound based on the song.
