I bought four of these to go along with my childhood one. They make a pretty mean Hoth trench system. The price isn’t too bad if you get sets missing pieces.

@CollectorsCritical7 күн бұрын
@@Serenityindailylife Well, sure - The difference is one is an awesome, imaginative dimension of fun, and the other is an overpriced, poorly designed pile of crap. If they'd stick to making the first option, they would easily win everyone.

I saw Alley Viper again and still think he's cool as hell lol

Uh, bro... I just found my old star wars toys recently while cleaning out my garage. They are missing most of the stuff, but I have an old falcon, the snow base, a robot factory thingy, and a snow speeder. Growing up in rural Ontario in the 70's made the Hoth scenes so relevant. Nice job with the cleaning and the photo shoot of the set. If you are looking for more of the trench, let me know.

I wish I had this when I was a kid. However, I ended up with a Turret and Probot playset. Kenner's designers are much better than Hasbro. They want to see the play value. I also like the features that make the playset more playful and helps kids make scenes from the movie, or create their own adventures in imagination.

The ony official SW playset I ever owned as a kid (unless you count Jabba's throne), and I loved it. So many features - even the click of the rotating gun is great. Attacked it alrernately with snowspeeders, wampas, TIEs and eventually a walker a hundred times, never got tired of that ice arch exploding.

Just order one and wait until next month for it to be part of my collection. If you only have one, go vintage! If you have a second one, go modern and put them side by side to make a nice display. The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite SW movie and in my opinion, had the coolest Kenner toys ever made! (The Imperial Attack Base / Slave 1 / AT-AT / Rebel Command Center / Turret - Probot set / Imperial Cruiser / Rebel Transport / Vader's Destroyer / Cloud City play set / PDT-8 and MLC-3 mini rigs... Twin-pod cloud car... )

Dude, awesome video! As an almost 50 year old who grew up with these toys it's great to see someone younger appreciate these old school toys 😊 That Snow Trooper is in almost mint condition, probably worth the price you paid for the whole set. 😅 One small correction, the Snow Trooper is only 4POA as his head doesn't move, which just makes him even better in my book, ain't nothing wrong with basic when you ingage your childhood imagination.😊 Thanks for the great entertainment, liked and subscribed 😀 👍

Don’t listen to whatever people say heck don’t listen to me, but toys are no longer toys. They don’t have that original nostalgia toys are now to mainstream and focused on collectors. We need to go back to the 70s in the 80s in the 90s when it was just about a toy that’s why I only collect Kenner Star Wars when it comes to my Star Wars collection. And I dabble in the 90s power of the force for only the original three movies.
@CollectorsCritical24 күн бұрын
@@Captaintoymantis So very true! Superdetailed high-end collectibles have their place, but there is also an undeniable charm about a classically defined "toy" like that from the vintage Kenner Star Wars line. Damn it does look good with the modern Rebel troopers! I never understood why Kenner made the trench set an Imperial playset when it fits the Rebels better. 🤷♂️
@CollectorsCritical24 күн бұрын
@@decadentdave I think they just wanted one more thing to go against the rebels, since almost everything except the AT-AT and scout walker in the line were rebel iirc. But you're 100% right, it just dances when you put rebels with the attack base.
