I know it has been quite some time since you posted this video, but do you know how to do this on ipad? I tried this method and I’m not sure if the regular expression wasn’t working correctly or I had something selected I shouldn’t have, but I cannot get it to assign the emphasis character style on the words. Any help is appreciated!

Basically, everything must be done by us. Is something that is set up. OR is there a way for us to leave it setup 6 x 9 so we don't have to do it per Book? Like, use it like a Template for the next book?

I find that none of these options in the video or the comments work if you have a text frame in a master page, and then you paste text into any regular (non-master) page the master page is assigned to. The find function DOES find the selected search in this context, BUT it won't highlight the word thus won't do a replace function on it. It only finds+selects a search string in text that's in a text frame on a regular page. So, dang. However, if I manually select the word and apply the character style, then it preserves the formatting when I set the paragraph style. Anybody have any ideas how to do a search-replace on text that's on pasted into a regular page that's using a text frame residing on a master page?

When you made the "blog" page, I just wanted to make sure/know. Would I be able to put specific posts under that page to make it easier for readers searching for something on my site? Also could I make more pages like that? For example, I am trying to create a writing website, but I also do novel reviews, and photography. I would love to be able to separate those three categories if possible.

This a great video! I had one question, though. I've got the Posts on the Home page (my books, bio, testimonials, etc.), but I also want a Blog Page. How do I get the Home Page posts to not appear on the Blog page?

Wish I could make this work: something's going wrong with my version of the book style you've shown us. For example, the page numbering doesn't start where I want, and although the numbering works on the left it doesn't work on the right - oh, boy, you make it look so easy but there are several other places where my result doesn't mirror yours - yikes it's complicated... Is creating a website while my covers and formatting service is still in progress… a waist of time and money for me to do while I'm waiting for the services? I really don't know if my trilogy is all going to be a flop or not. I've been reading about Perma-free offering my whole trilogy at least for a while, or maybe offer Book One free because I'm an unknown and can't afford advertising. Is it free maybe to start building a website at least to be crouched and ready at the starting gate before I launch my trilogy on Amazon? I'm pretty set on using WordPress. I suppose even building a website is a huge job... yet I saw a title, "Build Your Website in 30 Minutes". I just thought maybe I could multi-task ahead because my cover designer is amazingly doing all 3 covers for free as I think he likes me and my story blurb and punch line... but really he's busy and said about a month ago that he will get to it eventually. The formatter said he's extremely busy and can't start his formatting without first seeing the font style my cover designer is going to create. I have a nice quote from a story analyst, a blurb I worked hard on, a concise punch-line for my story, and my article about an amazing adventure trip I took as background for my trilogy. I could have a 10 pg excerpt of my Book One as a teaser. Maybe all that alone would get people to anticipate my launch and sign to my email list. With that said is it worth it for me to start a website, or is it better once I see if my trilogy is really accepted by buying readers?

Hi, need help :). I tried this, but something is wrong. I followed your instruction, but after i click "find", it only lists the lines with italic text bellow, but it does not select italic text in the actual text of the book. So there is nothing to replace. I am stuck with this formatting thing, it makes me crazy :)

how do you make this gdpr compliant or my question is - "is it necessary to make the website which you have created in this video gdpr compliant?" OR keeping as it is will suffice?

My workaround to preserve bold and italics when importing text from MS Word is to choose "Apply body text to paragraphs and preserve character formatting" Caveat - This method will retain the font size (as well as spelling language and character fill) from the original so either change it in Word before copy or do it in APub once pasted.
