@piber_3927 even araki himself has said that stands are not meant to one-up eachother. stand abilities are designed to have unique interactions with a variety of enemies as to avoid power creep in the first place.

it's pretty great on rushdowns that have their own true blockbreaks. the lack of one on its own makes it pretty bad on a lot of stands that struggle with block, but other than that it's pretty cool.

i'm not sure you watched through the whole thing, given this comment. i understand seeing a title and just going straight to the comments, but the whole point of this video was to theoretically lift these fundamentally mishandled movesets up to a state of being more interesting and less aggravating to fight against, since most of them rely on gimmicks or cheese strategies. i REALLY like when games manage to take funky stands and make them usable, one of my personal favorites being black sabbath from RIU. as much as the combat in that game sucks, i love the way black sabbath is represented in that game. the moveset is creative, the function is unique, and it does a good job of showcasing how something like that would realistically be used. i feel like you're yelling at the wrong guy here

@alexiotron I have watched the video. The problem is not that the Stands' movesets are "mishandled." The problem is that Uzu is forcing everything to be dumbfuck stupid with reworks. The Stands mentioned in this video were perfectly fine before the unneeded fighting style reworks. RiU is doing the same thing, but it's way less severe. Not everything needs a competitive Tekken moveset where you have 20 things the USER did once thrown into the moveset for no reason. PJJ is old and broken as hell, but STILL handles Black Sabbath better because they're not pretending to be an arena fighter and actually know what makes sense for this type of game. Making Beach Boy an assist character makes sense in ASB, but in a Roblox game of a different genre where the entire point is YOU having the Stand and YOU being the guy in the anime (YOUR Bizarre Adventure) it looks incredibly stupid to have a moveset where you call up a static npc to do half of your attacks for you. Simple is better, and watching older YBA videos easily proves that.

@SlewedBoot25934 what i'm trying to say here is that i agree, homie. the reworks are excessive and stupid, overcomplicating things that already worked fine. i don't really know what's going on with other games in roblox jojo, because i stopped keeping up with that years ago. saying games need to stick to "what makes sense" is such a cop out though. experimentation can only bring good results, provided the aftermath is handled correctly. bad change? rollback. good change? alright, yeah, cool! concerning your point against beach boy, d4c and d4c lovetrain are movesets that are almost entirely based in npcs despite that not being the combat use of the stand. i also have to disagree with your point of it being "you being the guy in the anime" because cmon, man. nobody plays yba as an immersive roleplay and you know it. while i agree simple is better, this video presented the most realistic options to fix the power disparity between the nonhumanoids and the rest of the roster. if i thought it would be reasonable, i would suggest giving beach boy a moveset based on maneuvering the hook through the map geometry, but that isn't a reasonable demand. most of this video was just trying to bring light to the problem in the first place, and less trying to get my idea of how it could be solved added to the game. be realistic with me for a second, nothing i say or do in some random one-hit video is actually going to impact the future of yba.

@alexiotron 1. My point is not just sticking to "what makes sense." It's using your COMMON sense. If it was already good, there would be no need to experiment with what was already fine and working if they didn't try to change it in it first place, and the only reason the game is like this now is BECAUSE they tried messing with things. Now everything is aggravating to fight against and what little fun you could have is tied to how much free time you have to learn how to play one (1) Roblox anime game because everyone is running around like they're Ryu or some shit. Not to mention, Uzu clearly does NOT know how to "experiment" and will just push a Stand with 3 combo extenders and a beatdown and only nerf it when absolutely necessary. 2. I was not at all saying that people play this game to roleplay, or however you seem to have misinterpreted that, and even if I was, saying that nobody does that is blatantly false, as you can go in any public server and easily find people cosplaying as a JoJo character with their respective Stand. I'm saying that the PLAYER should be the one who has the Stand. Imagine if Silver Chariot was only a cameo appearance in a Star Platinum beatdown cutscene, or if Sex Pistols was a Gold Experience attack, that would make no sense at all for this game. D4C uses clone npcs because, and get this... THAT'S WHAT FUNNY VALENTINE DOES?? You're genuinely telling me that using clones of people is NOT D4C's combat use? The same Stand known for being able to obliterate people by throwing a clone at them?? The same one where the user was almost unkillable because he could just move his Stand to a clone of himself??? If you're actually saying that locking an entire Stand to an assist attack to waste a keybind on MORE moveset fluff is in ANY WAY comparable to the Stand that frequently uses clones of its user and other people to fight just like it did in the manga, then I genuinely don't think you're sure what you're talking about, or you just didn't understand my point there.

@SlewedBoot25934 it seems like we're trying to argue different things here. i'm trying to argue gameplay mechanics while i think you're trying to argue design. equipping a different roblox avatar for the stand you have doesn't really have any gameplay incentive, effect, or purpose, so i am not even considering it an aspect of the game. because it isn't, it's an aspect of the community. i understand your point when it comes to stands just making cameos in other movesets, but you have to consider for a moment, prosciutto and pesci are literally designed to be partners. pesci is the hanged man to prosciutto's emperor. like i said in the video, i really cant think of a way that beach boy could be properly implimented in yba without an immense effort from the devs to make it so, which is just never happening. my point bringing up d4c was more in how the npcs are the ones covering a majority of your gameplay. this takes a LOT of autonomy from the player, even more than if you called in an npc to do a quick move or two, in my opinion. for the combat use thing, yeah, pretty much. a lot of valentine's combat is relocating to land melee strikes on people. using clones is usually either a defensive last-resort or a planned trap since he needs to be sure he can find the alternate of the enemy in time. the reason this gets used so much in the manga is because of the race forcing people to be on a path. he knows where people will be, generally. in random combat, it isn't feasible to search entire alternate worlds for the version of your enemy. even then, clones should be quick, simple attacks like yba's bruford rather than a basic enemy ai, but that's teetering into a discussion on d4c balance and that's just not what we're talking about.
