I think what YBA (and some other Roblox JJBA games) fail at is that they make Act 2 and Act 3 extremely weak. Sure, Act 4 is strong, but Johnny was able to utilise Act 2’s chasing bullet holes, the Golden Rectangle, and Act 3’s wormholes really well, but most games barely implemented them, let alone make them genuinely viable.

One thing I dislike about Roblox Anime Games is how broad this medium can be - literally the only place where we can post multiplayer RPGs of our favorite franchises ourselves. 0:52 *ADDENDUM!* While nails do tend to break a bit, you tested it on the fountain, which for some reason has a MASSIVE invisible box with no collision, that messes with projectiles, a lot. Sometimes I've seen Tusk wormhole nails teleport there, like it's some kind of magnet.

initially i planned to do the entire moveset section at the fountain since it looked nice, but when the projectiles broke i opted against it. i figured a lot of the tusk projectile problems were still around, so i used the fountain clip because it was funny and also consistently replicatable for recording purposes. if the problems were fixed, that's on me, sorry!

I think ntjjg is one of the best representations of tusk even though the games combat is pretty bad some of the moves from there might fit into YBA. Instead of switching acts manually you would use moves and it would change the act temporaily. I also like the nail system in that game because you can save your nails for later without a cooldown

U actually have some really good ideas about tusk. So often i see people and youtubers alike only play something because its overpowered or has cool effects, but for me i want to play something that allows for varied playstyles and player expression/freedom. Jojos is one of the animes with the most potential for these types of characters, but games usually dont capitalize on it.

i feel like instead of act 4 being an awakening, it should work as a passive. for example, lets say if you kill enough people or dish out enough damage in one life you can use act 4, which makes it require some semblance of skill rather than it does currently. i would say your suggestion is great aside from that one thing i disagree with, and once you have access to act 4 you arent stuck in act 4

My tusk concept `Tusk` Passive 1 - `Nail Bullets` On the left side of your screen you can see how many nails you have. You can have 10 nails max. You can upgrade how fast your nails will regrow. This passive carries over acts. Act 1's nails regrow slightly faster than in other acts. Passive 2 - `Crippled` You can't run and are permanently crawling like when you lose a leg. This passive carries over acts. Speed - Medium M1 - 6.5 dmg M2 - 13 dmg R - 15 dmg These stats carry over from Act 1 to act 3 `Act 1` E - `Nail Shot` You shoot single nail. You can shoot up to 3 nails in quick succession. Blockable, stun, 7 dmg per nail. Uses 1-3 nails T - `Focused Nail` You shoot stronger single nail. Cancellable, blockable, stun, bleed effect, 23 dmg. Uses 1 nail Y - `Nail Slash` You quickly slash an opponent with a spinning nail. Blockable, cancellable, ragdoll, cuts off limb, 20 dmg. Uses 1 nail G - `Shotgun Nails` You shoot 5 nails in shotgun pattern. Quick windup. Blockable, cancellable, blockbreak if 3+ hits, stun, 7 dmg per nail. Uses 5 nails H - `Leg Slash` You grab the oponent but "accidentally" stumble. Fortunately fingernails on your legs start rotating, shredding through the oponent. Parriable, ragdoll, 29 dmg U - `Herbal Tea` You drink tea. Heals 25 health and instantly restores 3 of your nails Z - `Nail Glide` You start gliding on a nail on ground, moving you quickly over a medium distance. `Act 2` E - `Nail Barrage` A nail starts spinning around your arm, acting as a drill stand barrage. 0.8 dmg per hit T - `Golden Ratio Nails` You shoot single nail. You can shoot up 3 nails in quick succession. Upon hitting person or an object, a small wormhole will appear shortly after. If someone touches one, the wormhole will disapear and the person will take damage and get very shortly stunned. This move has longer cooldown than Act 1's nail shot Nail: stuns, blockable, 8 dmg. uses 1-3 nails. Wormhole: lasts max 4 seconds, deals 4 damage, stun, blockbypass Y - `Focused Energy` You shoot one yellow glowing nail which is slower than normal nail and has longer windup. If this hits an enemy, he will be stunned in place and the wormhole will travel to his heart, dealing big damage in the process, and then it ragdolls him. Blockbypass, ragdoll, 29 dmg. Uses 1 nail G - `Wormhole's Target` By hovering your cursor over someone and pressing Y, all wormholes shot by the tusk user will target and follow the person you hovered your cursor over. Z - `Slow Dancer` You hop on a horse. You will move bit faster than person with max upgraded running speed. Your m1, m2 and R will be replaced with horse kicks. When your horses receives 35 damage, or you are on the horse for 20 seconds, you will jump from the horse. If you cancel the move earlier, you will jump from the horse and dropkick the nearest enemy, which works like jawbreaker but deals less damage. Horse: pretty long cooldown, m1: 7 damage, m2: 14 dmg, R: 11 dmg. Dropkick: 20 dmg, blockbreak, ragdoll. This changes H move H - `My Legs Moved` You donut and drill oponent with nail spinning around your arm, and then make you both backflip backwards. Parriable, 30 dmg in total, cancellable, ragdoll, bleed. uses 1 nail. H (Z) - `Lesson Two` You throw steel ball, manipulating oponent's muscles, which results in his vision getting distorted and his movement speed being reduced. Stun, cancellable, vision distortion, slowness J - `Dark Determination` On the left side of your screen is "Determination Bar". You can fill it by dealing and receiving damage. If your bar is full and you press J, your eyes will start glowing blue, your moves will get shorter windup, you'll get 15% dmg buff and your horse will move faster. Duration of this move is based on the upgrades. X - `Herbal tea` Remains the Same `Act 3` E - `Golden ratio nails` Same as ta2's ones T - `Focused energy` Same as ta2's one Y - `Wormhole's target` Same as ta2's one G - `Submerged body` You partially fall into wormhole, making you move slower, recieve 15% less damage and change your moveset. Has short cooldown but uses 1 nail. Different variants of moves share the same cooldown. By pressing this again you come up from the wormhole, returning your moveset to normal. Z - `Window between dimensions` You fall into wormhole, making you untouchable and boosting your movement speed for few seconds. Only move you can use in this mode is E. Cancellable windup Z (G) - `Spatial Wormhole` You almost instantly teleport to your cursor with wormhole. Cancellable H - `Determination` You shoot nail under opponent and put your arm into wormhole. If opponent doesn't dodge, you will grab him by the leg, drag it into wormhole, destroying it in process. Blockbypass, ragdoll, removes limb, cancellable, 30 dmg. Uses 1 nail H (G) - `wormhole suprise` You put your fingers into wormholes. More wormholes will apear around your opponent, from which you will shoot your nails at the opponent. Blockable, cancellable, 8 dmg per nail, stun. uses 3 nails X - `Center of Darkness` You send your Arm through wormhole in direction of your cursor, drilling through enemies in your way. Stun, parriable, blockbreak, 22 dmg, cancellable, bleed. Uses 1 nail X (G) - `Void trap` You quickly place multiple tiny wormholes on the ground. If oponent gets near then, your leg is gonna come out of the wormhole and kick the enemy. Blockable, cancelable, 17 dmg, stun B - `Herbal tea` Remains the same `Act 4` Speed - Fast M1 - 9.2 dmg M2 - 18.4 dmg E - 1.8 dmg per hit R - 23 dmg T - `Golden Ratio nails` Remains the same Y - `Wormhole's target` Remains the same G - `Imbued nail` You shoot nail and if hits, ta4 will will come out and barrage the enemy like cd's "You are in my range". Blockable, cancellable, stun, 23 dmg. `Uses 1 nail.` H - `Rotational uppercut` By hovering your cursor over opponent and pressing H, you will shoot at ground and ta4 will come out from under the opponent. If opponent doesn't dodge, ta4 will punch him to the air, barrage him for a bit and then kick him away. Blockbreak, ragdoll, dodgeable, 29 dmg. `Uses 1 nail` Z - `Spinning Muscles` Ta4 performs a punch which makes oponent fall and spin on the ground. Stun, parriable, cancellable, 24 dmg X - `Devastating Pummel` Basically same as current beatdown but it's cutscene and way faster. Parriable, cancellable, ragdoll, execution mechanic B - `Herbal tea` Remains the same J - `Slow Dancer` Same as ta2's one but lasts longer. Changes the moveset. Passive - `Perfect Rectangle` Your moves bypass counters and ignore half of total dmg reduction M1s, M2 and R - Same as Ta2 horse's E (J) - `Gyro's lesson` You throw two steel balls at your oponent, which results in them bouncing around him for a bit and damaging him. Blockable, stun, cancellable, 19 dmg in total. T (J) - `Nail shot ` Remains the same but instead of wormholes it summons ta4 which makes their body temporarily rotate, slowing their movement speed for few seconds. Properties remain the same Y (J) - `Rotational energy` You shoot at the ground and shadow of the tusk (infinite energy) will apear on it. If not dodged, enemy will take small damage, stun and get infinite rotation effect for 30 seconds (every 15 seconds the person will get stunned, damaged a bit and pulled to the location where he got hit. Cancellable, blockbypass, `infinite rotation` effect. Uses 1 nail G (J) - `Coming Through!` You shoot a nail imbued with ta4. Upon contact it bursts through oponent's chest, making him fly high up. Ragdoll, blockbypass, 31 dmg, cancellable. Uses 1 nail H (J) - `Drag Him Down!` Ta4 rips ground open below the oponent and creates a wormhole. If the oponent doesn't dodge in time, ta4 will drag him into the hole. Removes leg, bleed, 22 dmg, stun Z (J) - `Run Wild` You apply spin onto your horse muscles, making him spin around while stomping the ground wildly. Parriable, ragdoll, 27 dmg X (J) - `Arigato, Gyro...` Your horse launches you into the air and you will shoot a nail. Upon contact with the oponent, ta4 emerges from the nail and brutaly beatdowns the enemy and bursts through his chest. The user and the person who got hit by it will see Gyro's ghost and ta4's user will thank Gyro for helping him. Opponent hit by it will also get infinite rotation effect, which stuns him, pulls him to the location where he got hit by this and deal 10 damage every 15 seconds until ta4 user dies. Cancellable, execution mechanic, ragdoll, `infinite rotation` effect. `Uses 1 nail`

I doubt you'll see this, but I have an idea for the timestop movement that I think would be way cooler, and I'd love to hear your thoughts. If TA4 only moved for a slither of time to smash Diego's head, perhaps a user with TA4 activated during a timestop can see all the timestop movements, and has a counter that can be triggered exclusively during a timestop. It'd be a short timeframe but if you land it as the TS user hits you, Tusk smashes their skull and the timestop is cancelled, whilst crashing them. The move would cost say, 5 or so skill points so its not in every kit, but it'd be another move like RTZ to stop Timestop stands.

@@alexiotronmost of the damage comes from the last hit, which can easily be over 80 damage if you manage to land it when the opponent is low hp. im pretty sure the final hit of sticky fingers beatdown is capped at 50 damage

@TrainsDC honestly, with high enough regen, healing the 30 extra damage off during the weak part of the beatdown is probably possible. it's something i'd have to test to confirm, and i dont feel like doing that rn B) unrelated, the base damage (the lowest i've personally seen) of the final hit of ta4's beatdown is somewhere around 15, which is really bad. it's entirely useless against someone on high hp.

@@alexiotron The final hit of SF beatdown on average will deal like 30 damage to a half HP opponent, whilst tusk will do over double that. The other hits on SFs beatdown also don’t really matter since there’s so little and they also deal negligible damage, not nearly enough to make up for it

Hello it’s been 20 hours so ur probably not gonna see this but something the people at yba have to think about for tusk (switching movesets with every act in particular) is how it’s gonna work for mobile becuase it’s weird enough just summoning a stand on its own and having yba need to change the moves every time you switch an act is gonna be hard becuase they already don’t put enough effort in mobile support as it is so although this is a good idea for a tusk rework it might not happen

as much as i hate to say it, i really feel like mobile support for a game like YBA has and will continue to be nothing but a net negative. currently, mobile players have no jump cooldown, can dash and jump out of stun seemingly at random, and are immune to some moves like marionette control seemingly for no reason. if the idea of mobile players not being able to utilize a potential moveset becomes something the devs consider, i think it could seriously hold the game back. they should really just stop trying to support it and lock it to pc exclusively, as much as i'm sure mobile players would be upset.

@@aNiceTree agreed. it used to be a very risk/reward moveset having the highest startup and endlag but most powerful moves. now knuckle sandwich and boxing shuffle can be used to confirm pretty much anything at 0 risk.

@@alexiotron I don’t know if it had the most risk since it and Hamon were basically the most meta options, but it definitely punished you much more for missing, I think that’s also a huge part of the problem as well Endlag just feels non existent now. Every move on boxing is fire and forget cause there’s no punishment to missing and haymaker literally has hyper armor and encourages running away by spamming dash to build up damage.

There will be a problem and or annoyance with the fact corpse parts are used for getting it so players would be mad for all the time they spent in SBR so maybe along with quests it should still require corpse parts.

the problem is how strong ts resist is because of the low-gravity. it has no reason to exist and yet it makes timestop useless against them provided their keyboards have a spacebar.

Honestly a great video, liked ur ideas abt tusk quite a bit, but the part that i couldnt really "releate" or "agree" with (idfk how to say it :sob:) is where u compared aut's player count to yba's, cuz alr it does get a bit more players than yba, but really the only reason why that is, is because they added a ton of one piece slop that is really nothing but aoe spam (which blox fruit fans just love), cuz before these summer updates (mainly one piece stuff) came out, it barely managed to get 1-1.5k active players, sometimes even got into the 400-500 active player count, which was honestly disappointing but also funny to see, considering how much i hate and love the game.

i entirely get where you're coming from, and as someone who also played aut before the 3.0 update i feel this sentiment as well. unfortunately, that doesn't excuse yba from managing to maintain a lower player count than aforementioned slop for nearly two months atp. i'm well aware that before the one piece update aut was in the gutter, but aut's resurgence shows that kur and that game's team is willing to do what they see as necessary to recover the game's popularity. uzu refuses to do even that.

in my opinion tusk4 should be an apart standout from tusk3 even cuz jonny is able to use tusk 4 when ever he want but he has to be on horse to activate infinite rotation so it should be more like a infinite rotation awakening on an apart tusk 4(with its restriction ofc)

i'll be honest, from what i have played of n, the game looks REALLY bad. i dont wanna hate on it since i don't have a ton of experience, but from what i've played it looks super unpolished and janky. oh and the tusk beatdown is comically over-exaggerated which is kinda funny ig.

Calling a beatdown "weak" is just dumb. Sure that would be the case in an earlier version of YBA, but currently the last hit is the only damage that matters of course.

as much as i disagree with paragon as a CM, his suggested changes are objectively very good for the health of the game. boxing is currently really wack, and the only reason i'm not starting to work on a spec video is because i think the update might come out sooner rather than later, considering we've already seen clips of the suggested changes ingame.

I think YBA is just horrible all around. Even tho the topic is of Tusk Act 4 it no surprise that some or even most of the stands are either buggy, all around broken, or simply unusable. This was one of my favorite games of all time for 4 years but then the stands that were reworked became broken and werent balanced until months later. Hence why its dying its not putting up the same numbers it used to back then

i wanted to come up with a response to further the discussion but like... yeah. that's exactly the problem. and unless we get some major rework rollbacks, it's going to stay that way. stands and specs have too many moves, disjoints are becoming increasingly common, and armor is EVERYWHERE despite that making the meta extremely unfun unless your moveset has an absurd amount of grabs.

I feel like RiU is just a really unfortunate game. A lot of the systems in place are true to the series, and I like how they implement a lot of stuff, but the combat just FEELS terrible. It's so slow and clunky that it's like the whole game is underwater.

during the 3.0 update that added the jujutsu stuff they also removed obtainment quests in favor of forcing a gacha system for stand/spec obtainment. they also began levellocking movesets, requiring you to grind for a while before abilities would be useable. they slightly remedied this recently by adding quests back, but level grinding is still there.

Rework moveset idea : acts are upgradable until act 4, with act 3 being the main act used. When using nail shots, you switch to act 2 for nail fire, stay in 3 for wormhole attacks, and switch to act 1 for gliding. E - nail shot : tapping the key fires 1 nail. It can be tapped up to 10 times depending on how many upgrades were perchased. (Blockable, cancelable) R - nail slash : same as it is now. T - golden rectangle nail : switch to act 2 and fire a high-powered nail. This can be charged for longer to deal more damage. Y - wormhole nails : Switch to act 3 and shoot the floor, then shoot wherever your mouse was aimed; fire at the nearest player 3 times. (Blockable, hyperarmor) G - leg removal : Switch to act 3 and shoot the floor, then shoot at the floor of the nearest player. You grab their leg, and drag it under, cutting it off. (Parryable, hyperarmor, bleed) X - herbal tea : you consume herbal tea, healing for a small amount, but regenerating all 10 nails. Z - nail glide : switch to act 1 and spin your nails on the floor to glide forward. U - lesson 5 : you jump into the air and form a perfect rectangle, summoning act 4. You then fire a nail forward and activate a beatdown. This summons tusk act 4, granting you its moveset for a short time.

Act 4 moveset : Passive - infinite rotation : any damage delt applies a 0.3 damage per second dot that lasts until tusk Is gone, or the opponent dies. This also allows only tusk to move in stopped time, having you pilot tusk during stopped time. E - barrage : yeah R - heavy punch : uh huh T - uppercut combo : tusk uppercuts the opponent, then slams them down into a barrage with a final punch. (Parryable, cancelable, blockbreak, ragdoll) Y - skull fracture : you shoot a nail at the floor that turns into a tracking wormhole. Once this meets someone, It climbs up the player and tusk crushes their skull. (Blockbypass, cancelable) G - spin drill : tusk act 4 spins and drills into the opponent then sends them flying. (Ragdoll, blockbreak, hyperarmor) H - headshot : tusk grabs the opponent then slams their head into the ground. You then fire a nail at their head. (Blockbypass, parryable, cancelable, ragdoll) Glide and herbal tea remain.
