Are you guys actually making money with it ? I just started my world travel journey and was wondering if I could make some money of my iphone videos. If yes does anyone have reccomondations for me on what to upload ? How long should the videos be ? With a person in it or just landscape ? Any thing that works extremely good ?

Just subscribed, and after swimming around and failing to get started, ended up here looking for further info. Mmmm. I tried again and went to Ai generate, entered a prompt, but no obvious 'generate' button...more swimming about! My conclusion is; I will now unsubscribe and lose my $13. 2, tell everyone about how I couldn't even upload my first photo or find help. Seem like a sophisticated scam to me...

Agree 👍 The premium subscriptions like $12.99 is wild. Like ive been on platform like year or 2 and uploaded few hundreds pictures here and there. But obviously didn't make any money few cents only. No newbies or mediums hobby photographer's going tp pay that money for subscriptions when wont get anything back in return. Wirestock definitely needs to change the membership and amounts of submissions a month etc. It will be only place for the "big fish" contributors.
@vitaminb48698 ай бұрын
So do the unused submissions roll over to the next month, or you lose them?
@RandomHartz8 ай бұрын
When I had the premium subscription, the submitions did not roll over. I believe it is still "use or lose".

Really Great video Question please.. if I used the normal pics I taken and covert into a cartoon style with befunky website..its not listed as an ai Like the other programes they have.. Would it be ok to submit to adobe stock I the normal way without ticking the ai box ? As I don't want to get my account suspended Kind regards
@RandomHartz9 ай бұрын
Hmm, not familiar with befunky website but essentially becomes an illustration then it should be fine. I think Adobe is looking for content that was Generated from or with AI to require the disclosure (Content created from other content). If it was created from the likeness of a person then I belive you would still need a release to sell on Adobe as commercial. Hope that helps?

Joel - I'm always motivated by watching your stock photography videos. I hope you keep making them. Although I don't travel the world to get the kind of photos you get, I was glad to see that your tilapia photo sold. That's more like the type of photo I might take. No model release required to photograph a fish.

Happy New Year Joel! Looking for images for the earning reports is pretty time consuming - I have always tried to keep a good balance and prevent the video from getting too long. My thoughts? I am not too concerned about images in the earning reports, although it is nice to see what others are posting. Personally, I always like to see how people create their images from being out in the field and right up to post processing. I would watch that for sure. And if you can use your travel footage for both channels somehow?
@RandomHartz9 ай бұрын
Thank you Jeff for sharing your input, I appreciated it. I have been wanting to try some "in the field" videos. I tried a few time on the last long trip. I will need to see if I can make the footage work without to much time spent. Yeah I can totally use my travel footage for both channels. I already do that, as my primary purpose of capturing images and video is to serve the other Brand and then I try to grab some stock elements once i get what i need for the brand. Happy New Year!!

Hi all! I want to share my experience with Wirestock so that you can have an idea of how things can become a nightmare with them and how they do not protect the artists who are their main source of profit. I opened an account at wirestock 1 or 2 years ago when I heard about them and wanted to try their system if it was worth it. And uploaded maybe a dozen of files to the system. I only got a few sales from their system. Few days ago (December 2023) I got an email from them which said my account was suspended because of some "suspicious activity". First I thougth it might be a scam and sent an e-mail to them using their support e-mail address which was on their website. And I started an email traffic. I should add that I didn't upload any files to their system for a long time and I even don't remember when I last logged in to their system. I am sure I am not the source of this "suspicious activity". They refused to give me any details about this "suspicious activity". They didn't even try to help me and solve this problem. What they did was just to request a photo of my ID card to investigate further. First I did not give it to them because all my trust to them was gone. Then I sent it just to be able to log in to the website and delete all my files from their system. But after submitting my ID they said they decided to close the case and my account would not be recovered. And when I asked about my earnings on their system (which is only a few dollars and which is nothing to me) they said they reserve the right not to make any further payments! And they tie all of these to their "terms of service". And they decided to sit on my earnings. Just like that! Yes we sign terms when we sign up to any service but we are human and think a service which earns their profit by the hard works of artists should protect the artists' rights and be more "human" in the face of any negative issue. I am writing these to spread the word an warn people about how they handle things and how artists can loose their earnings on wirestock. I am grateful I didn't upload more than a few files to them and loose so much of my precious time and money and trust. They may just say there has been some "suspicious activity" and shut the doors to your face!
@RandomHartz10 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing this. So sorry to hear of your troubles especially since it was a weird "suspicious activity" concern. I really wish they could have given you more information about the claim or any option of recourse like talking to a member of the Customer Service. You are 100% correct! We are at the mercy of the stock agencies "decisions"

I was on the edge whether to join wirestock and this made me decide not to! Thanks for sharing. I mainly make my stock video sales from Blackbox and I haven't had any problems with them, recommended.
9 ай бұрын
I am really disgusted with how they behaved with my situation. They suspended (and eventually closed) my account by showing a suspicious activity as a reason but their own behaviour was suspicious if you ask me. They insisted not to give me any info about the situation. They did not help me in any way. It was clear that they wanted to close the case and shut my account off as fast as they can. I don't like any kind of middleman and this Wirestock situation prooved me right. Yes, the main stock markets are also middlemen but it is not easy for anyone to sell their own footage with limited resources.
@RandomHartz9 ай бұрын
If you're doing good with Blackbox, then I think that's the right choice. If you're into AI images, then wirestock may be worth looking onto more.

Hi, Joel Thank you for taking your valuable time and sharing such useful information. I recently noticed a terrible shake in a video shot using a gimbal, and since I can't go back in time to that place, I was looking up image stabilization programs and came across this video. The performance of the Topaz video AI looks so good. As you mentioned, the processing speed is slow, but I can wait for it because the good results are guaranteed. I'm using Vegas Pro, and the built-in image stabilizer plugin in Vegas Pro is also not as good as Topaz, but the perceived processing speed seems to be about 10 times faster. I plan to work with Topaz and the default plugin in parallel in the future. Thanks again for the useful information, it was very helpful. Thank you. - Brandon
