Nice set up! I want to get a klx300r and make it street legal. I prefer looks of the klx300r or the klx300. What dot tires you running? Look nice & aggressive for off road.

Any 300r owners out here notice the header exhaust turning cherry red? I just bought a 2020 w/ 300 miles and noticed it when turning the bike off. It was idling for about 5 minutes and the ride I went on was actually just up and down the driveway twice so maybe it was just that it needs to be moving to keep the exhaust temps low?

How many miles was the loop?

Have I understood this right, the lockable differential is only on the 2 wheel drive models? Not an option if you have 4×4?

What front fender are you running?

I’ve had mine for just over a year and put 2000 miles on it , it’s not a speed machine but it tractors nicely through mountain dirt roads , so easy to ride.

I got one just like it. It didn't run, and had been wrecked. Super easy fix I put a new carb, new battery, and oil, spark plug, and air filter., and a 6 inch led light bar where the factory headlight goes

22 KLX300R.....EJK tuner,Pro Circuit slip on, snorkel removed, pair valve delete, o ring chain swapped out for MX chain,tTusk air filter,updated Race tech springs front and rear.......one of the FUNNEST bikes ever! I have 3 KTMs and they don't get ridden as much as this thing...I love it! Next upgrade will be the tires,gonna throw on the Tusk T35s. I should say that I'm a 63yo rider and just don't need a fire breathing dragon anymore but this bike is amazing

I’m thinking of getting one of these for trail work and to help with bow hunting. I like the crf 250f as well. How does the Klx compare to the crf 250f?

Put a lot of hours on one of these at a place I worked in the late 90s. It would carry/haul/tow during work hours, then often see off the clock riding on 900 acres..... being driven by several different teenagers. My Honda 300 was more fun when it came to play time, but that 2wd Bayou 300 was just as reliable IMHO.

I have a Hawkeye 300 that won't rev up. It will idle only sometimes when it gets warmed up, but then backfire through the carb when I give it throttle. Replaced the carb, set the valves and spark gap. Honestly at a loss, any help is appreciated.

Fun video Tilly. We need more videos like this one. BTW I got a new 24' KX 250X and it is the best bike I've ever ridden. Hands down! BTW I also own a Sherco 300SE and the KX is better everywhere.
