I had a 2022 KLX300R for over a year before I traded it in for my 2023 YZ250FX. By far the best bike for a beginner or for someone that wants a nice, tame, reliable bike that can still tractor up things. I really enjoyed that bike, especially since it was my first. Awesome bike man!

How do you like the YZFX compared to the KLX? Confidence on the trail? Advantages and advantages?
@MaGiCpEnGu1n Жыл бұрын
@@sanderjavant-36 Honestly, I love my YZFX a lot more. The power is very fun and still manageable since it's just a 250. The cockpit is a lot more comfortable for my size (200lbs 6'1"). My back would start to hurt near the end of my rides on the KLX because it felt so cramped. My back doesn't hurt anymore on the YZ. It handles very well and overall great bike. As far as disadvantages? It's a maintenance princess for sure. Oil change every 3 hours along with an air filter change. Just more up keep. I changed the oil and air filter on the KLX every 10 hours and honestly, it probably could've gone longer. The oil didn't look bad coming out and the air filter always looked pretty clean. Probably helps that it's in an enclosed air filter box and hardly ever gets dirty.

Now that's the way I like to see a video showing the bike and from the riders perception with the go pro. Awesome dirt bike man. That's the bike I want for sure.

22 KLX300R.....EJK tuner,Pro Circuit slip on, snorkel removed, pair valve delete, o ring chain swapped out for MX chain,tTusk air filter,updated Race tech springs front and rear.......one of the FUNNEST bikes ever! I have 3 KTMs and they don't get ridden as much as this thing...I love it! Next upgrade will be the tires,gonna throw on the Tusk T35s. I should say that I'm a 63yo rider and just don't need a fire breathing dragon anymore but this bike is amazing

I'm glad you told your age. I'm 57 and getting ready to buy one of these. I feel/think it's what I will enjoy the most out of what I have looked at. Been wondering if I should even bother getting another trail bike but I want to get back into it again, or at least have one to ride when I get the notion while I'm able.

I’ve had mine for just over a year and put 2000 miles on it , it’s not a speed machine but it tractors nicely through mountain dirt roads , so easy to ride.

Any 300r owners out here notice the header exhaust turning cherry red? I just bought a 2020 w/ 300 miles and noticed it when turning the bike off. It was idling for about 5 minutes and the ride I went on was actually just up and down the driveway twice so maybe it was just that it needs to be moving to keep the exhaust temps low?

Back to Kawi, I kinda thought that bike would be a good one for u. The EFI 250 and 300 has THE SMOOTHEST 4 stroke throttle of any dirt bike Iv ever rode. Second gear crawling/climbing they will not stall and still pulls good off idle. If I ever go bigger dual sport route, Im picking up one of these for single track and screwing around with friends.

I've been debating the KLX300r and the Honda CRF300L. I'd like to be street legal but still have fun in the woods.
@romand1232 ай бұрын
You can get a kit for the 300r to make it road legal. Much better rig for woods riding than the Honda

@@romand123 I got the KLX300 road version in April and really enjoy it. No woods yet due to business but it's fun to ride around town. Thanks for the reply.

When I was wanting a dual sport I was looking to buy either the CRF300L or the KLX300. I went to checkout the Honda first. Thought they looked good...walked around it to look it over...then I sat on it. Felt like I was going to sink to the floor! I truly thought the suspension was damaged or something. The sales man said "No, that's the way the Honda suspension is on these". I immediately got off the bike and left. Found a KLX to try out and Wow. What a difference, and it's adjustable too! The Honda has no adjustment. It just comes one way, Bad. I've had my KLX for a few years now. It just turned over 10,000 miles the last time I rode it. I love these KLX's. Would buy it again with No hesitation.

@@Kawboy13 yes, I agree the KLX was the right choice. I have almost 3k on the clock so far on my KLX. It's a fun bike. I've adding some mods here and there, not much yet but it's coming along. Thanks for the input.
