Nice! Hits all of the basics that people need to understand about this situation. I always tell my friends, don't be a big dummy like me and think that because your vision is perfect you don't need to see an eye doctor. My first ophthalmologist appointment was literally the day we found the tumor. And I only went to the ophthalmologist because my vision suddenly went distorted and blurry. Now, would the outcome have been any different if I had yearly eye examinations? That's impossible to know because many people have been following a nevus or freckle for years and in between appointments it blows up into a tumor. But I definitely would have increased my odds of catching it early, and maybe not being stuck with a Class 2 PRAME positive tumor type and now having liver metastasis in less than a year.

LVV

A family member has had this drug. Took 12 months to get access to it. He got only 2 out of 4 doses of it due to ill health. Doctors then gave him 2 months to live. Saw him last week at his home after being released from 7 weeks in a palliative hospital. I reckon this drug is working with just 2 doses. Just like when penicillin was invented, it takes time for medico's to work out the right level of dosages. Perhaps 2, not 4 doses is the right number to start off with to give your immune system a wake up bitch slap. I think he's dropped off the research radar because he didn't complete the first course. His health has improved and levelled off to what he was 6 months ago. Also he has been sweating around his head a lot lately, which suggests a fever. He feels hot. Fever's always a good sign the body is putting up a fight. Fingers crossed where getting to a breakthrough point that people will be either the last to die or first to be healed from stage 4 melanoma.
